Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:This business owner was hired to clean my home and was put on notice before she arrived that I would be there to help and that the ovens would be pretreated with a commonly used appliance cleaning product in order to make it easier for her to cleanShe accepted the job under these termsShe requested me to list in order of importance the areas of the home that SHE would be responsible for cleaningI specifically listed the kitchen ovens, refrigerator, master bathroom and all floorsThis was communicated PRIOR to her arrival to my homeDuring the course of her cleaning, through her own negligence, intentional or accidental, caused damage to the hardwood floors by laying rags with cleaning chemicals on the floorThis company is a registered LLC with the State of Colorado and as such, purports to maintain a certificate of insurance in order to comply with her status of good standingI have repeatedly asked her to file a claim with her insurance for this damage and she refuses to work together with me to get this resolvedI have witnesses on the day of the damage who will state in court that she admitted fault, said she carried insurance, and would make it right and acceptable to the new homeownerThis company is called The Professionals Cleaning Service and as such, implies that they understand common cleaning solutions and their chemical make up, whether she chooses to use them or not, and therefore she should have taken the proper steps to handle them accordinglyOn a personal note to the cleaner: It is unfortunate that you misconstrued my heartfelt sympathy toward you and the situation as an admission of guilt on my part - it certainly was not. Sincerely, *** ***

The customer originally got a quote from us to do a complete move out clean.  She did not want to move forward and hire us to do the job. A few days prior to her moving out, she asked if she could contract just me for 3 hours to assist her in cleaning.  In the email she also stated that...

she would clean the ovens with “Easy Off” the night before I arrived.  When I arrived on the job site she explained to me that she did not have time to clean the ovens the night before like she said.  She then asked me some questions about how the cleaner “Easy Off” works.  I explained to her I know nothing about it.  I explained to her we tell all of our customers to run the self clean cycle on the oven before we arrive so we can wipe them out.  She said the self clean cycle was broken and that she was going to use the chemicals to clean the oven.  The Professionals Cleaning Service does not use harsh cleaning chemicals.  I do not use harsh cleaning chemicals.  It clearly states on our website the cleaning supplies we use.  We use Hillyard Green Certified cleaning solutions.  None of our supplies will damage any surface in the home and are not harmful to humans or pets.  I can provide MSDS for all supplies we use.  We feel very strongly about not using harsh chemicals.  She asked me to wipe out the oven after an hour.  The harsh chemicals burned my lungs and arms as I was trying to wipe out the oven.  I placed the dirty rags inside of a garbage bag like I always do.  She never instructed me otherwise.  The chemicals on the rags ate through the garbage bag and part of the seal on the floor.  The customer admitted that it was her fault for asking me to use chemicals that I am unfamiliar with.  She also said, “how would you have known it was going to eat through the bag?”  She admitted fault but wants me to pay for all damages done to the floor. She also continues to say I placed the rag directly on the floor.  Which is completely false.  She leaves out that part where she admitted this was her fault.  Also when we are hired to do a move out clean.  Typically we charge a flat rate and show up with a crew of 2-3 professional cleaners.  We use all of our own equipment and supplies. The owner(s) are not present and helping with their own supplies.  This is how the job should have been completed.  The customer should not have been there using cleaning supplies she did not know how to properly use. I have responded to her emails and explained all of this.
