The Pub & Restaurant Reviews (2)

On June 19th during a dinner rush I had a family of six at my table-The one gentleman ordered a spinach stuffed chicken entree. After the food was delivered I asked how everything was. He answered by saying his stuffed chicken came out dry and he would...

like to change his order. He ordered the chicken parmesan entree, which we make fresh, so it would take a good 15 to 20 minutes to cook. As we were cooking the food, he started complaining that it was taking way too long. Once the food was ready to be sent out, he said that he didn't want it and did not want to pay for it. I informed the manager on duty about this situation. Troy took over the situation form this point on. Troy let the gentleman know that the food is ready and that he had to pay for the food we just cooked for him. He was unhappy that he had to pay for his food, so he decided not to tip me. Troy and I both said that's fine, as long as he paid for his food. The family ended up paying $150.00 bill.7/22/16On June 16,2016 around 7:00 p.m. I was told by a busser that table 13 had a problem with the spinach stuffed chicken. I went to the table and asked the young man what was wrong with his meal? He told me that the stuffed chicken was burnt around the edges. I explained that the stuffed chicken would be a little crispy around the edges because we have to make sure that the inside of the chicken is cooked properly, I did also tell him that it will be taken off of the bill.I then asked him if he would like something to replace it. He said yes, I would like to have chicken parmesan. Conor (the server) put the order in. About 10 minutes later Conor told me that the young man didn't want it anymore and wanted it takin off the bill because it was taking so long. I approached the table and advised him it was on the way out to the table. It is our company policy that if a mistake is made and we fix it then the customer pays for the replacement. The father told me to bring him his check right now and if I didn't take it off the bill that he wasn't going to tip the server. I told him that was his choice if he didn't want to tip the server. I delivered the check to the table. I made a round through the dining room and patio to make sure everything was running smooth. I stood at the front door, I heard the young man tell our hostess that his day would have been better if the manager wasn't a [redacted]. When he walked passed I told him to have a nice day. He turned back and said I would have had a nice day if you weren't an [redacted]. I told him if he felt that way that he didn't need to come back. He walked off. 1 saw his father and mother walking out of the restaurant so I watched them walk to the corner of the square where the young man was standing. Then, I saw the father walking towards the restaurant. I started to walk back to the front of the restaurant. I greeted him (the father) at the door. The father was nose to nose with me asking me why I told his son that we weren't allowed back here? I told the father that I didn't like the way he told my hostess that I was a [redacted] and then told me that I was an [redacted]. Then I told him that if he that's the way he feels then he doesn't have to come back either. I believe that comment upset him, causing him to start pointing his finger in my face. During that argument I got him to move outside of the The Pub's property. He was being confrontational with me so I told him I would call the owner so he could talk to her. He said, No he would write to her. He continued arguing until another employee intervened, who was also a manager that was expediting for the evening. Before the father left he told me that this is why small businesses fail and don't last. I didn't respond. I turned away and walked back into the restaurant. On Father’s Day 19 June 2016, there was an issue with a guest, I (Frances D[redacted]) was working on the expo line. A spinach stuffed chicken was returned to the kitchen with a complaint from a guest that he didn’t like it and would like something else. He was informed the dish he chose would take at least 15 minutes. He agreed. The food was almost finished when the server (Conor) said that he didn’t want it anymore and said he isn’t paying for it. Troy the Manager on Duty spoke with this gentleman's father regarding the issue. The guest was so rude the server informed me that he didn’t want to go back to the table. He caused other guest in the restaurant concern because he stated that he was going to pay for the meal but he was not tipping the waiter. We boxed the meal and rushed it out to him.We thought it was done until he started complaining again as he was leaving, Troy asked him to step outside so he wouldn’t create more of a scene in the restaurant. At that point 2 staff members came back into the kitchen to inform me that this guy was arguing with Troy in front of the restaurant. Again, disrupting people that where eating dinner on the patio. Troy invited them to leave and not return. The man said, small businesses like this fail because of people like you.If he was so innocent in this situations why did people from 2 surrounding tables tip the waiter because of this man’s actions? Troy and Conor handled this issue; as professional as possible. I am sorry that the man complaining feels he was mistreated but he was given the up most respect and treated with kindness.Manager on Duty18 July 16

Yes I paid for the bill and I paid for the group
