Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I contacted public surplus and they told me to try and work with the seller on this issue and get back to them if there was no resolutionI indicated to seller that I needed an AC and he was going to clear it with his managementThe seller is deceptive in nature as they gave me an older damaged building and were going to give the one I bid to someone elseAt a minimum the auction house should insist seller refund money and take back the building or sanction them for deceptive practicesA copy of this letter would be appreciated so I may proceed against the seller Sincerely, [redacted]

The buyer bid on an item but later decided that he had bid too muchThe selling agency refunded this buyer's money per his requestPublic Surplus will consider the matter closed

Revdex.com: A potential bidder needs to be alerted to the fact that Public Surplus allows the seller to extend the auction at willI do not recommend using this business, however in order to move ahead I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

As acknowledged by the buyer, rules regarding auction extensions are clearly posted on the site, including a selling agency's right to extend an auction at any timeThe buyer understood this so it makes no sense why he continued to bid higher than what he thought was a fair priceThe selling agency has agreed to refund this buyer's money in fullHowever, the buyer will be prohibited from bidding on any future auctions by this agency based upon his failure to honor bids placedThe buyer may also be prohibited from bidding on Public Surplus' site for failure to abide by the terms and conditions of the Buyer Agreement

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:They are making it sound like I'm some bozo.I attempted to contact them several times via chat, via email, and via telephone call beginning on Decor 4th, I don't recall exactly which dayHowever, ALL attempts to contact there were unsuccessfulI THEN contacted Revdex.comThen I received an email from their support department asking if I could receive a text message which I had already made clear to them that I was unable to doFINALLY, someone telephoned me on December and the problem was resolved the same day. Also, I changed my telephone number in their system ONLY (to other telephone numbers of mine) to try to attempt to rectify the problem, all of which were unsuccessful.Their customer service is atrociousIt shouldn't take or days for them to provide meaningful tech supportOthers should be warned that it's going to take a few days for their problems to be resolved.Sincerely,

Public Surplus wishes that this buyer had a better experience, but reminds him to two thingsFirst, the buyer stopped by the seller's office on June 15, to discuss the A/C unitThe Seller informed the Buyer that the photograph posted on the auction was incorrect and that the building did
not come with an A/C unitThe Buyer did not object and signed a receipt accepting the condition of the itemSecond, Public Surplus is not the seller of the itemThe Buyer agreed to Public Surplus terms and conditions of use, which make it clear that Public Surplus is not a traditional auctioneer, is not the seller of the property, and thus has not control over and does not guarantee, among other things, the accuracy of item descriptionsSpecifically:LIABILITY LIMITATIONS AND RELEASES Absence of LiabilityYou will not hold Public Surplus responsible for actions or inactions of Sellers or other users, including the quality or condition of property or the information postedYou acknowledge that we are not a traditional auctioneer and we are not the Seller of property sold through our SiteInstead, the Site provides a marketplace for users to offer, sell, and buy items of all kinds in a variety of pricing formats and venues, such as stores, fixed price formats and auction-style formatsWe are not involved in the actual transaction between you and SellersWe have no control over and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of items advertised, the truth or accuracy of listings, the ability of Sellers to sell items, or the actual completion of a sale to you, even upon a successful bid by youPublic Surplus encourages this Buyer to work with the Seller to seek a possible resolution

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted public surplus and they told me to try and work with the seller on this issue and get back to them if there was no resolution. I indicated to seller that I needed an AC and he was going to clear it with his management. The seller is deceptive in nature as they gave me an older damaged building and were going to give the one I bid to someone else. At a minimum the auction house should insist seller refund money and take back the building or sanction them for deceptive practices. A copy of this letter would be appreciated so I may proceed against the seller.
