The Puppy Barn

On Monday, February 18 (President's Day) I went to Puppy Barn in Saratoga Springs. I was not planning on purchasing a puppy but found one that I fell in love with. We bought him for $350 dollars and were so excited to take him home. It was explained to us that he was happy, healthy, and updated on all of his shots and good to go. About 8 days after we got him he was very sick and quickly diagnosed with CPV otherwise known as Parvo Virus. This disease is very fatal for all puppies if not caught quick and luckily we rushed him to the vet where he spent 4 days and 4 nights in a 24 hour facility. While there they treated him with multiple antibiotics, anti-nausea medications, an IV drip, as well as other medications and syringe feeding. The bill was over $2000 and he almost died. The vet told us that if he didn't get treatment when he did he would dead today. After talking to those in our community and friends and family we quickly found out that many other people that we know had also gotten puppies from this business, and had even had their puppies die from this disease. When we brought it to the attention of the business they blocked us on social media, and seem to be 100% aware that they are selling sick puppies. They also make every person sign a seven day health agreement, knowing that the incubation period for Parvo is 5-10 days, leaving the owner to deal with the fall out on their own. However, we were unaware of this diseases beforehand. It was also brought to our attention that someone had notified a local Facebook page and told them that the litter our puppy was from was originally selling for $850, and was heavily discounted, further pushing us to believe that they are knowingly selling sick puppies and getting away with it. This alert is what notified us to take him immediately to the hospital, where it was confirmed. An investigation must be done and this business needs to be shut down for countless other things as well. Please reach out.

This place is a glorified puppy mill that like to sell itself as a responsible dog selling store. I have had so many friends but a puppy from there only to find it had parvo virus. We do not need another pet store when there are so many shelter with puppies and dogs that need to be adopted. This is irresponsible breeding and selling of puppies. It only looks to make money I’ve rthe well being of their puppies.

My puppy purchased here died of PARVO, which they did not reimburse me for any of her treatment because parvos incubation period is longer than the amount of days they give you to seek treatment. Please investigate and shut down!

This business is reflective of the owner's poor character, and is of course failing miserably. After buying a puppy from him here, and finding out what really goes on at the Puppy Barn, we found that he indiscriminately scours the classified ads, swindles people into selling them their puppies for nothing (regardless of where they come from), pumps them up on social media and sells them for ridiculous prices. You could easily cut out the middleman and go directly to KSL or ask around on social media for the breed you want. The owner is creepy with his female staff, lies to customers to get a sale and cheats his employees (just ask any of those who have escaped his grasp). This guy is a crook, a phony, is too creepily close to his female employees and will someday answer for his dishonorable ways. Do not support this business in any way and let it die out.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! They buy from puppy mills and cheap puppies on KSL and the owner himself breeds dogs but NOT responsibly. Puppies are sold SICK and there have been many cases of PARVO come from their puppies. Prices are redicilously high. It’s all about the money. I would never support them!

Owner is creepy and fake, employees seem like they're brainwashed. Very strange place. THey were rude when they found out I was not going to buy a dog.

Hello, I do not live in Utah, nor have I ever lived in Utah, however I have served our nation for 14 years and sacrificed a whole lot for our great nation. I am writing to you because my wife bought our "golden doodle" at the puppy barn, which I hear is expanding and growing. This place of business needs to be shut DOWN! A year ago my wife was visiting her sister and they Went to the puppy barn, mind you this was a month after losing our golden retriever of 13 years, so not a smart choice on their part. Longest story short, the "golden doodle" is not an actual golden doodle. That's not the worst part he was sick and within 14 hours We had over 600 dollars in vet bills annnnnnddddd the 8 week old puppy was actually more like 5-6 weeks. Soooooo, I feel like there has to be some type of lawsuit already with this company. It's insane that they're able to stay open!!! We are currently stationed in Germany and when we message the puppy barn they will not respond and comments are erased on their FB page.

I have a special place for animals and it makes me sick that these people are profiting the way they are. I would also like the wrong they have with my family made right.

Liars, they sale sick puppies. As well as lie about the background and breed of the dog.

We bought a puppy here and were told that it was parvo free and that it was healthy.
Clearly this puppy was not because parvo has an incubation period of 14 days.
This puppy is very sick and we were told that it wasn't at the time of purchase.
