The Purple Turtle Resale Boutique Reviews (6)

MSToni B*** (Vollo) of Port Jefferson took many of my items for her now closed kids consignment store I have not received payment for goods sold not have I received return of my items I estimate the valus is at approximatley $She reached out to her customers when she siad she was closing for unsafe conditions in her store and woudl be reaching each person to retun their items That was about months ago and now her favebook page and website have been removed

On 2/**/I entered The Purple Turtle Resale Boutique located at *** *** *** *** *** ** with plastic bins of new & gently used name brand children's clothing (approx150-pieces)I spoke with owner Toni B*** and asked if she purchased clothing like "Once Upon A Child", a previous store I had used and she resp***ed "Yes" but they rip you off unlike me I asked if I could sell her store my clothing and she resp***ed "Yes, leave it for a day or two, I will call you" I was called to come into the store on 2/**/ When I arrived I spoke with Toni B*** who gave me my empty bins and $ I was confused and asked for the remaining money and she explained that this was consignment not outright purchase of clothing I told her she did not explain that at drop off and asked for my clothing back, she resp***ed "NO, once tagged it belongs to The Purple Turtle"I demanded my clothing back and she again said "NO" but offered me $for a few pieces that were not tagged yet

I brought my items to this store she said that I signed a contract that she can not produce that says that she has six months to sell the itemsI sold some items which she keep giving me the run around when I can get paid out stating that she only gives checks on Wednesday-Friday I went to the store and picked up a check this past Friday took the check to the bank and was informed by her bank that it can't be cashedI went to the store where she said that she couldn't do anything until Monday I asked her for my item that where still in the store back she stated no that she wouldn't return them until the contract was over in FebruaryI asked her to take the check back and give me the items that where still in the store that belonged to me she processed to call the police stating I was an irate customer the police showed up and it was unfounded

When making contact with...

The Purple Turtle Resale Boutique I was not asked for my address, I only provided my telephone number and name.  The address on record, [redacted] was my previous address, I just moved and had the mailing address updated.  My current address is [redacted]. Toni B[redacted], owner of The Purple Turtle is aware of this address since she has sent me a letter threatening legal action if I do not remove Revdex.com complaints and any other complaint or review, this action was delivered through her attorney, Donald M[redacted] of Hauppauge NY.  Toni B[redacted] issued me account number [redacted], this was written by her on the back of a Purple Turtle BusinessCard.  The Purple Turtle should have quickly identified me in their customer database by Name and/or account number.  It was mentioned to Toni B[redacted] at first contact that we were moving to the area and all of the clothing in question was from cleaning, packing, and moving.  We even mentioned we were moving from Massapequa and previously used another clothing thrift store in the Massapequa area, one she acknowledged and called them thieves.  I will forward all letters and corresp[redacted]ence received from The Purple Turtle and Toni B[redacted] mailed to my current address and addressed to me referencing my account with her and her store, showing she was fully aware of who I am and our business dealings. This supports my original complaint that I was not given a contract, receipt, or inventory sheet, all the dealings with Toni B[redacted] and The Purple Turtle were verbal from day one, and when I asked for written documentation Toni B[redacted] refused to provide any written documentation other than a business card with account number written on the back of it. The Purple Turtle operator this way to avoid documenting actual sales, sale amounts, cash payments, or merchandise received.  Toni B[redacted]'s statement that she is unaware of who I am is completely false, she even put my name on the small bag of clothing she put in a garbage bag out on the sidewalk in front of her store.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am so sorry but we do not have a customer in our date base with this address
