I have received the complaint you filed on behalf of *** *** I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond. While I wasn’t on property the evening that Mr*** came in and questioned the staff about Miller Lite draft being discounted for select customers, I did hear about it
the next morning. Please allow me to explain the history of the issue that Mr*** is referring toI arrived at the hotel in November of last year and assumed the position of General Manager for the new owners of the hotelShortly after reviewing the operation I determined that we had too deep of discounts in the bar area that was preventing us from achieving our desired beverage costWe did in early February raise our happy hour prices on some itemsThis included Miller Lite draftThe staff voiced their concern that a couple of the regulars that frequent the bar daily would be upsetIn the attempt to assure these guests that I appreciated their business I allowed them to continue to have the discounted price until further notice. In May the decision was made to offer a new happy hour which would offer select products for a discounted price during happy hourThe date was set for August for the promotions. While we are sorry that Mr*** felt cheated however, the way he conducted himself was extremely distasteful as well as disrespectful to the staffIn addition his attitude and demeanor was a distraction to our other customersIt was necessary for us to insist he leave the premises immediately.
