The Repaint Specialists gave a written in home estimate (with the amount it would cost to paint his house), to the customer, which he referred to when he later called to book and confirm that he did want to proceed with paintingOnly
AFTER the job was completed did the customer complain about the costAs to overcharging for the doors, not only did we NOT overcharge, but we took half the agreed upon price off painting the doorsHe WAS also given the reduction of the Senior 10% discount which is clearly written on the estimate sheetWe are not sure why this is an issue, since it is clearly in the calculationAfter the job was completed, the customer called back and asked us to do another quote for some wood panellingAfter he (the customer) agreed to the cost, we sent a painter inThe customer at that time informed the painter that he would not be paying for the wood panelling to be paintedWe told the painter to leave the home and not continueObviously the customer was attempting to get the work done for free prior to even having us estimate itWe have no intention of refunding any money to this customer as he agreed to the contract and price long before we ever began any work at his residence

I am letting you know that I do not agree with their responseBecause I have proof that they are wrong that they do not owe me any refund amount of moneyTheir advertisement says painting walls the whole house for the amount sum of coats of paintingsAnd they did not paint the whole house wallsAnd charged me the amount for painting the whole house wallsThey was paid up in full amount for the whole house walls paintingsq ft and they charged me for painting the ceilings and the walls for sq ft amountAnd my house is only sq ftThey owe me the refund amount for sq ft for the ceiling painting and sq ft for the walls paintingBecause my house is only sq ft not sq ftI have proof they owe me the refunds for those plus 5% G.S.T
and they must and have to refund to me that amount of money off the

Randy, owner of the Repaint Specialists and ***, owner of the contract company Randy works with , both came to my home and we went through the requested workIt turned out that *** had foot surgery, and unknown to me, had his helper do the work, alone the first day, and brought a 'friend' on the last dayThe walls were not properly prepped, areas were not patched, patched areas were left un-sanded and painted overI highly doubt that a primer was usedThe living room feature wall had some patching I had done prior, and before hiring the Repaint Specialists, did remove most of one patch by spraying warm water and used a rag to diminish the patchThose I did not do were not sanded, or if they did, an extremely poor job was doneI have a lamp against that wall and in the evening it looks as though there are large ripples where the patching was not properly attended to by the 'Repaint Specialists'
The feature wall and baseboard in the master bedroom is not done - 5-inches from the floor, where the bed wasThough they did manage to paint over the outlet plate and cable cover, leaving inches unpainted around the outlet plateIt is evident here that no patching or priming was done
The bathroom had nail hole to patch and a patch of 3xwas done, and not well sanded or primed...just painted over
There was paint spray and what looked like the roller sort of 'dropped' down on the window and was not cleaned upThere was spatter on both patio door windows, some clothes and on a large wall hangingPaint spray was on the top and sides and was cracked on one edge
Apparently an attempt was made to move my queen size bed and in doing so without removing the mattresses, cracked one of the railsHence, the unfinished part behind the bed
Paint got on the guest bathroom vanity door and though I was told it would come off easily; I have a stain on the white door
When I spoke to Randy and *** they were both very defensive and said my walls were in poor shape to start with! Neither of them said anything whatsoever to this affect when they visited prior to starting the job
*** returned and did clean up some major things, like the huge mass of patching in the utility room that was thick and messy and not sanded at all - the first guy just painted over the patch
There were 2-selected areas in the Utility room but what was done was horrendous!.*** did refinish the 12"x6"x1/4"+ thick patch the 1st painter did
There was a huge mess starting from the ceiling being sprayedWhen I arrived home after work there was major dust and paint bits all over my TV and stand as well as my laptop and monitorI was told they were covered, but the pictures I have really do not support their side
When Randy came to see what my complaints were about he was dumbfounded to see all the 'blue' tape strips I'd put on the areasHe got close to my face and said 'Did you use a microscope or your eyes?" I was puzzled by this and straight out said, "My eyes!"
To be fair, though I was really upset by the unprofessional response I received, I removed all the tape and started over - there were still a lot of areas that look like a kid did the work, not a company calling themselves the 'Repaint' Specialists
Then Randy and *** said it would cost a lot of money to have the work done that I wanted, and they didn't quote for thatWell - at what point should I have known this? The original pricing was for less than sqftcondo, and closets were not included!
When *** came by after Randy's visit, I had calmed down considerablyWe went over things and he did a few things to correct patching, especially where the current rods were - even though it was a textured wall, the patching was atrociousHe also said that I should have moved the bed, which I offered to do
But waitwhile *** was here I opened the Repaint Specialist's siteIt said stated that they would move furniture, do a professional job and walls would look like new and....the place would be clean! Their guys washed their paint brushes and rollers in my kitchen sink! Of course, *** said, oh, it's water based and won't hurt anything! Randy just said, yes, it looks like they did and walked away
*** *** *** I told him he should speak with Randy and they should get together - especially where moving furniture went....*** said they do not move furniture! I also paid $for the interior decorator which was not an extra charge on the site!
When Randy called me at work to collect the $I told him that he had a few things to look after firstCORRECT YOUR SITE! While corrections have been made, I have to wonder if *** is aware of what is expected of him
Randy has not returned my emailsHe is unavailable when I call (voice mail).They claim to have a year warranty - do I need to wait years? It's been over a month

End product is good, but painful getting to that point. Numerous touch ups required, never saw drop cloth used. Paint drops on floor from ceiling being painted and wall paint personal items had to be wiped down as they we covered in dust.. Issue we had with skylight was promised to be addressed and never was.

I called The Repaint Specialists after seeing their add in a coupon book. They were quick to come out to quote me and the owner Randy was very pleasant. The job was quoted to be started on Monday and finished Thursday which did not happen. It wasn't completed until Friday. The paint job was good however his painter Ali left an absolute mess around my house. I cleaned paint off of my washer and dryer, the bathroom fixtures, the floor and more. I was very disappointed and called Randy about it and sent him pictures. I then discovered that there was paint splatter in my brand new floor. I had sent pictures to Randy about this as well and was told by Randy that Ali said it must have been the painter before him; funny since a brand new floor was just put in. I told Randy it looked like there were no drop cloths used. It took two weeks to have Ali return to clean up the floor which was also unacceptable. Although in the end it was all taken care of, I do not feel that this company believes in the customer is always right and took way too long to make things right! They say they have been around for 30 years in which case I would expect way more professionalism and more conce for your cusomers and potenting referrals. If you are going to use this company, I would recommend not paying until you AND Randy walk through the house together to ensure you are 100% happy.

After a couple of weeks of aggravation, [redacted], the job has been completed to a standard that allows me to ask this case be closed, please.

Randy attended my house for an estimate and walked through the entire place noting repair work that had to be done. Estimate clearly states a complete repair/retouch of wall damage and painting. There were no secrets, he examined everything personally. Painters came while I was away on holidays as per our agreement, he was phoning me prior to me inspecting the work for payment, to which I refused. I came back to find the paint job/repair job very poor. Obviously did not fill numerous holes and painted right over them.

I phoned Randy to let him know and he complained about the amount of work it would take to fill all the holes despite the estimate saying a complete repair. The company came back to fix a couple places that I had pointed out and left.

It has been approx 6 weeks now and I find new areas of my house that were not repaired/retouched at all on a daily basis. Patch work not sanded, poorly painted, or just not filled at all. Pictures can gladly be shown at request.
