Ms. [redacted] gave notice in July 2017 that she intended to move out of her apartment in September 2017. She then cancelled her Notice to Vacate. I am presently the manager, [redacted], but I did not work here in July of 2017, I started in August. The first time I spoke to Ms. [redacted] she said she had...

been given a 3-month lease extension by someone (who she could not identify) before my arrival. I told her that I would accept the lease extension, but there was nothing drawn up, no lease extension existed. I asked her to show me what she had, but since she had nothing, I had nothing to go on. Therefore, I offered her a month-to-month lease at our usual rate, which is market rent plus $200 per month. She could have accepted that, but chose instead to go on a tirade the likes of which I've never before experienced. As far as me telling Ms. [redacted] that she could have a 3-month lease for an additional $75/mo, that simply never happened. I did not even work here. I did however tell Ms. [redacted] that I would accept the lease that she was given before she decided to give her Notice to Vacate. I did not tell her that I would call the corporate office to get an "exception." Ms. [redacted] did call the corporate office, and spoke to Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] does not "claim" to be the president of the company, she is in fact the president of the company. That statement alone might provide some insight into the attitude of Ms. [redacted]. No "false information" was given to Ms. [redacted] by me. My conversations with her did not begin until recently. I did not offer her a 3-month lease, she stated that she had already negotiated such a lease with management, which turned out to be false. I've been in this business for 25 years, and have never encountered a person more rude and belligerent than Ms. [redacted]. Why I didn't simply call the police and have her removed still has me wondering. She was so insulting I found it hard to believe. Ms. [redacted] may stay here at The Reserve at Fountainview on a month to month lease, so long as she remains current on her rent and does not violate any other conditions of her lease. She would have to pay the same rent that anyone else who wishes to be so accommodated would pay which is market rent plus $200.00. I am not permitted by my employer to make any special exceptions for her nor any other resident.
