The Ridge at Blackmore

We rented and apartment at The Ridge at Blackmore for yearsWe paid on time and were very responsible rentersOur experience while renting was mostly positive until it comes time to moveI called weeks in advance about doing a walk through after moving out, and was told it would be no problemAfter we had vacated and cleaned the apartment we called to do the walk through and was told that they didn't have timeI knew then that we wouldn't be seeing our depositAbout a month after checking out we got a letter saying we had an estimated return of $dollars from a $deposit, but this was only an estimate and that I a few weeks we would have the final determinationSure enough, about weeks later we got a letter stating the we owed them a total of $Mind you this apartment was cleaned top to bottom with the baseboards even scrubbedThe deposit is a total scam and I am convinced that nobody gets any money back

As documentation shows, there were notations on the Inventory and Inspection sheet on the check-out portion noting various cleaning needed, as well as the clause on the bottom of the inventory and inspection sheet she signed that says: "I/we understand that conditions noted during the CHECK-OUT
inspection with management are not finalAdditional costs may be applied after maintenance and necessary vendors complete their inspection/work."
Attached are also invoices from the apartment cleaner for $and carpet cleaners for $Both the apartment cleaning and carpet cleaning are standard for all move-outsPricing varies by apartment condition and length of time necessary to finish
I am also attaching a copy of the signed leasePlease note on page under the "General": NO ORAL AGREEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE
We do apologize if the tenant felt that staff was rudeIt is unfortunate that we are considered to be rude when tenants don't expect to hear that their were additional costs involved

I called weeks in advance about doing a walk through after moving out, and was told it would be no problem. After we had vacated and cleaned the apartment we called to do the walk through and was told that they didn't have time. I knew then that we wouldn't be seeing our deposit. About a month after checking out we got a letter saying we had an estimated return of $230 dollars from a $450 deposit, but this was only an estimate and that I a few weeks we would have the final determination. Sure enough, about 2 weeks later we got a letter stating the we owed them a total of $32.75. Mind you this apartment was cleaned top to bottom with the baseboards even scrubbed. The deposit is a total scam and I am convinced that nobody gets any money back.
