I am in receipt of your notification dated 4/10/15 indicated that a complaint has been filed against The [redacted] at Van Dorn Apartments. The complaint number is [redacted].
First and foremost, I would like to note that this is the first...

notice that our business has received from the Revdex.com, despite the mention in the letter that previous attempts were made via mail and phone. It is also important to note that “The [redacted] at Van Dorn” has not existed for a number of years. The business name is and has been The Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn for 8 years. It is quite probable that since your organization does not have our current business name on record, the contact information on file is also outdated.That being said, please refer to the below in response to the complaint:The complainant, [redacted], states that she was a previous resident at The Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn. At some point during her residency, the person with whom she had leased the apartment failed to pay his/her portion of the rent. As such, [redacted] also fell behind and entered into eviction proceedings.
[redacted] indicates in her complaint that management made her aware that eviction proceedings were underway and that management was taking the proper steps to re-take possession of the premises. All proceedings were in accordance with the laws of Fairfax County and the State of Virginia.
[redacted] goes on to acknowledge that she opted to "skip" in lieu of eviction. Upon returning possession of the home to management, all past due balances, damages, legal fees and early termination fees became due immediately.
Under state and local law, [redacted] and The Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn are under no obligation to make payment arrangements for past due balances, particularly on skips or evictions. A notification of the final balance was sent to the last known address and the file was promptly sent to collections.
Despite [redacted] feeling as though “the matter was handled the best way that it should have been", it was handled according to [redacted]'s company policy as it pertains to balances from past residents and the law in the state of Virginia.
The account will remain with the collection agency with whom [redacted] has already been in communication and made payment arrangements.

The WORST place to live. Will nickel and dime you for everything hidden charges when you move out. Staff member Maria very unprofessional and has a bad attitude. I had my car broken into and there are no camera on the property and I received no help from the office with this matter . Also had my car towed no signage by the property. The apartments are very noisy , sounded like elephants lived above me .
