Review: verbal promises and contract signed. $3,800 for labor redoing bath and installing shower floor vanity exhaust and tiling walls. The deal was to combine this with the downstairs bath job for $3000 and pay half upfront and balance at conclusion of all work. extra was$200 to fix hardwood floor and $50 to hang tv mount. Promised he could get both baths don in a week. I said no way and I will give you 2 weeks. He said no, it will be one week. I gave him $3500 and they started 07/25/2016. Aprox a week into the job, he asked for another $500 and I gave it to him. I am now $4000 into this and on Friday 08/122016 has asked for another $500 and I refused after finding he hadn't paid his worker in full for 2 weeks. He cursed me on the phone and pulled the worker from the unfinished job. In 3 weeks the owner,Rich, only came once to help for 10 minutes. Now I have to hire the worker to finish the 1st bath and work directly with worker to do second bath. Out of the 3 weeks, he only gave demolish help for 2 days and this job required 2 skilled contractors to complete this job effectively.Rich took advantage of me and the worker.Desired Settlement: refund the money he squandered to finish the job and over payment that was made on the agreement. Paid $200 over 1st bath agreement plus $500 to hire someone to finish
