failure to complete job. received invoice detailing job to be completed. it was not. Per written project proposal/invoice [redacted]/The Right Moves was to:1)move all items from rental house and storage locker to new home2)"unpack and set up rooms in new home"3)"set up kitchen, closets, cupboards, hang paintings, hook up electronics"4)"move all clothes in provided wardrobes and place in closets"5)organize all items with priority being the children's rooms but to include the entire household.According to time schedule provided by [redacted] the majority of the move to be completed by Friday 12/20/13 with wrap up Saturday 12/21. As of this writing, we have not seen her to complete work described. [redacted] asked asked for permission to purchase organizational items for the new home which I agreed to. Her proposal also included hanging pictures which we were to do together on Thursday 12/19. Because I was called out of town for a funeral I cancelled that meeting with the understanding that no pictures hang any pictures on my newly painted walls. Last week when we met at the house [redacted] asked that I talk with her daughter about how I would like the kitchen organized and she walked away. I explained to her where I wanted things and told her that if it didn't work, I would move it. On 12/17 we looked at the "organized" kitchen and found: a) No organization in the pantry closet other than everything put on a shelf-cans mixed with boxes, grains mixed with soups etc. b)The "coffee central cabinets" had coffee items but I found the cappuccino cups hidden and unreachable over the refrigerator and coffee items mixed in with the spices in another cabinet and c) pots and pans scattered all over the kitchen. I spent two hours that evening reorganizing the kitchen. The next day her daughter had words with my husband about my reorganizing OUR kitchen arguing that she spent 5 hours organizing the kitchen and should have left the boxes in the middle of the floor if she had known I was going to do that. [redacted] chose not to apologize for her rude, hostile and inappropriate behavior towards the customer. Because I assumed you would finish the job by your deadline on 12/20 with final details to be completed on 12/21, and I honor my obligations, I left payment with my husband as I was out of town at a funeral. When I walked in the house on Friday 12/20 after returning from a funeral I found and documented with photos: 1)holes in the walls with pictures hung in the kids rooms despite agreeing that no pictures would be hung2)garage with no organization done, nothing unpacked -boxes piled up3)no organization in the kids' closets despite our completing installation of the closet organizer with plenty of hanging space. Clothes piled up on shelves with no organization4)attic not organized at all-boxes clearly labeled office mixed with kitchen boxes clothes and personal boxes. Boxes piled precariously ontop of each other. Cuisinart in the attic. 5)bin full of socks in the linen closet6)boxes full of items marked "décor" still in attic with bare shelves in the family room7)minimal unpacking in the master with not even the basics that were in the master bathroom at the rental and closet unpacked 8)clothing that was unpacked in the master not organized with winter/fall clothes mixed with summer clothes - sweaters and t-shirts mixed, casual and dress clothes mixed. kids socks in my underwear drawer9)boxes clearly marked home office were not in the home office, they are in the attic mixed amongst personal and household items. Bare shelves in home office10)inappropriately packed boxes- while in the attic looking for something I smelled mouthwash and found a wet box full of my bathroom items from [redacted] house with mouthwash bottle top down and spilled over everything in the box. 11)Computer printer not hooked up as it been in the rental. 12) shelving and drawer organizers I purchased previously and used were thrown in a box in the atticDesired SettlementTo my knowledge you completed the packing the rental home and the moving of the items from rental and storage to the new home however you failed to complete the unpacking/organizing portion which you detailed in your proposal and were paid for. Despite being given permission to purchase organizational items to do your job, your only purchase was an $8.00 pink bucket from target. The items that we discussed would go into the attic were my work related items and my clothes not everything else you felt you didn't want to deal with. I could accept overflow in the attic if it were at least organized as we had discussed: work, home, kids etc but you didn't even bother to do that. I would have expected that at a bare minimum you would have taken note of the things that were unpacked at the rental and therefore considered essential, and set those things up. Based on your initial performance with packing the [redacted] house prior to 12/18, I referred you to the family that sold our house to us. Rather than acknowledging the referral and the fact that they had hired you to remove the remaining items from the garage you chose to attempt to cause friction between the two families over the remaining move out items stating that they were indecisive and getting in your way and making it difficult for you to do the job we hired you to do. As a service provider it is standard to contact the customer for follow up and to get a feel for satisfaction. You have done neither. I have contacted you three times and you have failed to follow up. I paid you $8850.00 for a job that you failed to complete as described by you in your contract. Based on your description of your services you have misrepresented your business. Based on your failure to provide the complete services paid for, I expect a refund of $2000.Additionally your movers locked a file cabinet and removed the key. I texted you about this 4 days ago stating it was urgent I have access to the content of the file cabinet and you said you would contact me the following day. I have heard nothing. I paid a locksmith $90.00 to gain access to my file cabinet that I was locked out of because of your carelessness. I expect a refund of $90 in addition for a total of$2090.
