This Customer sent an application for a unit that we had for rent on April 1st of 2015.  This person did pay the $60.00 application fee.  After sending it to the owner, the owner approved him for a unit in [redacted] that had a rent of $695.  This process does take several...

days.  Mr. [redacted] did ask if we would change out the gas stove, and make it electric, the owner also approved that with  Mr. [redacted] paying for that conversion.  After contacting Mr. [redacted] of this, we did not hear from him for 2 weeks.  We collected no monies from Mr. [redacted] other than the $60.00 application fee.  In that time, the unit was rented to someone else.  We did have another unit becoming available in the same building, but did not know a specific date, since we were having to evict another tenant.  We explained this to Mr. [redacted], and he said that he had changed his mind and wanted to looked at 2 other properties.  Apparently he took it upon himself to look at one of the rental properties, while a contractor was there.  We had not told him that he was approved for any other properties.  He assumed that he was.  When he called us about this house, we told him he was not approved.  He then proceeded to explain that he was going to have his brother-in-law and 3 kids move in this house also.  We told him at that point, that was too many people for this house.  He was very angry. We keep properties on our website, because leases do fall thru and prospective tenants do back out.  We have explained this to him numerous times.  I have put in the mail the denial letter than explains why, he was denied.  I have mailed it to both addresses, [redacted] and [redacted], since there is a different address that he reported to Revdex.com. Both he and his wife have low credit, and our owners require a double deposit for prospective tenants, with a credit score below 600.  We did ask for a double deposit on the [redacted] property.  The prospective tenant also has a felony charge for passing bad checks, in 2012.  He also has an eviction on his record.  All of these factors make it hard for an owner to approve a rental application from these individuals.  Mr. [redacted] was refunded his $60.00 application fee as requested. Mr. [redacted] contacted us on 07/14/2015, still very angry that we will not rent to him.  I ended up disconnecting the call after being cussed at. Thank You
