All I can truly say is I’m so sorry. I’ve been in business for 15 years and  I’m pretty good at avoiding challenges simply by evaluating prospective customers when I meet them in person. I’ve gladly provided all our services to the [redacted] completely FREE of charge, not because the statement...

Mr. [redacted] provided was in fact what happened but simply in hopes to just gracefully allow them to pursue the agenda they intended from the beginning. I met with [redacted] in person March 8th. She had a couple items she wanted serviced including her roof cleaned, her gutters cleaned out and a dish tv antenna removed from  her roof. She expressed her budget was very tight so she would need to see what she could afford and asked me if I would give her a quote for each separately. I provided the quote for exactly those services as detailed on the service order I have attached. [redacted] later called my office manager and asked if we would reduce our price to match the other quotes she received from other companies but she stated she wanted us to provide the service due to I was the only contractor that actually got on her roof for the inspection, the detail I provided, presentation and our packet on our service. Brittany (my office manager) stated our prices reflect our service but she would be happy to ask me to follow up with the [redacted] and I did. I called [redacted] back, confirmed that I quote the price I do because of the service I provide and respectfully declined the service. She called a 2nd time and asked if we would provide the entire roof cleaning, gutter clean out and moss treatment for the price of cleaning of the gutters. I again called her back and somewhat tongue in cheek declined her request again and basically said if you're looking for a cheap service I would suggest go with one of the other quotes she received from another contractor. A 3rd time she called Brittany and asked her could we just clean the roof and gutters and throw in the dish removal for free. I called [redacted] back for the last time and let [redacted] know I’m probably not the service company for their family and thank you for the opportunity. Two months later, [redacted] called back once again and confirmed she wanted our service so my office manager scheduled them for May 23rd. Our service is done in steps due to weather and utilization of technicians. The 1st step is to clean the roof, gutters and clean-up all the debris from that step. We purposely don't apply treatment due to it being rained off so when weather permits we reschedule and apply. Each step of our service is confirmed with a quality control call after to insure nothing was left undone and when Britt did that later that afternoon [redacted] did say there was a some moss left in her grass on the side of her home. Britt stated she would have a tech out the next morning but [redacted] stated it was minor and they were going to mow that day so it would be gone. Our next available date for treatment Britt called and scheduled the [redacted] in where we would remove the dish, treat and clean the gutter faces and treat the roof. I was then called by [redacted] directly to let me know she had another dish she needed installed in the place of the original. I knew nothing about the new dish until that moment nor are we equipped for have experience in  installing dishes outside of removing the posts and replacing the damaged shingles where the dish was originally installed. I stated that and she said well could I just do it anyway. I can figure most things out but their roof is extremely technical, steep and I clearly stated as it's outlined on her work order I’ve provided that “dish removal” means exactly that and not installation of a new dish in its place. She said she was going to have her husband call me and he did. Mr. [redacted] was belligerent on the phone and when I expressed we don't know anything about the trade of dish installation or connection his response was...if you have a screwdriver you should be able to figure it out! I stated we didn’t quote that and we are unable to provide that service so he said you can “fu”” yourself and that he wouldn't be paying the bill. In retrospect I should have just figured out how to provide that for him because I believe this is this couples habit. Our cleaning is complete, the gutters are immaculate, the only thing left is to have a dish contractor do what their trade does. I believe the best thing at this point is for us to do exactly what I’ve done and that's to have provided all the service I’ve done so far for FREE and not wasn’t more time or energy. He stated his desire was exactly that, his resolution is give him our services for FREE so...DONE. God bless him!
