We found water spots on the ceiling of our family room that I was able to trace back to a water leak in an area of the roof where a gutter is located that regularly overfills with leaves and debris; I knew that somehow the gutter overflow was responsible but wasn't sure exactly how the water was coming in, or if there was any wood/structure damage yet Sean, from The Roofing Group, came out to inspect, and immediately found the problem to be that two of the gutters in the back of the house were installed incorrectly and pierced the roof shingles, thus making a track for the water to come in He checked it out from the attic, and found no sign of wood damage...and gave me a very reasonable quote to check the gutters' installation, shorten them a bit and cap them off so the ends are not against the roof, and to replace some shingles He also suggested reasonably-priced aluminum gutter shields for the gutters in the back of the house that we cannot safely reach to clean out ourselves to help prevent debris from filling them upHe brought a crew out on 4/27/to get the job done before expected rains start....they completed the work and completely cleaned up afterward Last night, during a heavy rain, I could only hear the soft falling rain on the roof and the gentle trickle of water in the downspouts...no cascading waterfalls over the gutters, and in the morning NO water leak through the roof Sean is friendly and professional and we will definitely use The Roofing Group for anything new that comes up
