All-Tex Boiler & Plumbing Services installed their boiler in October 2015.  At installation, we connected the new boiler to existing power source.  The existing electrical lines in the mechanical room (and throughout the property) in October 2015 were 30+ years old.  Robert,...

our master plumber told the manager at the time of installation that updated wiring was needed.    Robert also mentioned at that time that wiring was not included in our initial bid, as we are plumbers, not electricians.  In the subsequent months, we have been called out to re-start the boiler after their electrical system experienced a power surge on the property. We went back a few times without charge to the property .In addition, we have returned to the property AFTER new wiring was installed to start the boiler at no cost.   This customer us now sending us their invoices from their electrician.  Our position is that All-Tex Boiler & Plumbing Services is not responsible for the electricians expense.

All-Tex Boiler and Plumbing first and foremost wishes to apologize to our customer for all of the inconveniences they have encountered with regard to their new boiler system.  We install many boilers every year with no history of callbacks due to electrical malfunction, but it never makes us happy to hear that a customer feels we didn’t take care of them properly.  The property in question is an older apartment community and the electrical wiring in the mechanical room needs to be updated.  We were not asked to do this when given our scope of work, but we see that our communication with this issue and throughout this complaint process could have and should have been much better.  I hope you will accept my most sincere apologies for that.  Regardless of circumstance, we never want to leave any customer with the impression that we’re just going to throw our hands up and leave them without the support they need.  We treat all of our boiler installations as though they’re part of our family, and we’re committed to looking after this one throughout the entire warranty period and hopefully beyond.  Therefore, in recognition of the fact that our communication with this client should have been better, All-Tex Boiler and Plumbing would like to extend a service credit of $1,000 (excluding parts) to this community that will be in addition to any warranty obligations it has with respect to this boiler.  We really hope that you will give us another chance.  We service quite a few apartment communities in the Houston area, and we have a long track record for retaining customers long-term.  I believe that even at this community, we have repaired a longstanding issue that others could not resolve.  Like any company, something may slip here or there from time to time, but I hope that this gesture will show that we care about your business and want to make this right.  Please call me directly if I can be of any further assistance to you.Respectfully,Jerridy C** Tell us why here...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  
We would be happy to accept a payment in the amount of $1000 which is a drop in the bucket considering how much we have lost due to move outs directly affected by the lack of hot water over the past few months.  We don't want a credit, We have taken our business elsewhere and have no intention of giving All Tex another chance.All Tex actually did refuse to come out the last time that we called them. We then called another company at a cost of over $1000.
