The Room Partition

Review: The contractor did not complete service after we began a dispute regarding a mistake he made. We signed a contract for service of an L shaped wall within our brand new apartment. This wall was to include a large window in order to capture sunlight from the living room. The contractor built 3/4 of the wall while we were at work after I met with him Tuesday (Nov*) morning and re-explained everything. He then went to Home Depot to purchase product. I came home on Tuesday to he built a wall that supported only a basement size window (apprx. 1x3ft). Wednesday morning I called to address the issue and told him to purchase two more same size windows to reflect what was originally request and described. I then reviewed our contract and previous correspondence and concluded that my roommate and I were not in any sense liable for the additional cost incurred for the windows. I sent him an email Wednesday with detailed evidence of correspondence. Today he came to our apartment, giving the impression that he would finish, took his tools and left. The wall is not complete. We have paid in full.

I'd appreciate elaborating further via telephone. I can be reached tomorrow, Friday, morning via my office line at ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: The contractor will finish the service that we signed a contract for and have paid in full. The company will absorb the additional cost ($400) incurred as an expense from the employee's mistake.
