The Roox Agency Reviews (%countItem)

Roox, owned by brothers *** and ***, advertised in their *** page and in the *** website that Los Tigres del Norte would be doing a Meet and Greet with the VIP ticket holders during their Michelada fest that took place Sep. 29th. My husband and I have known that the Tigres del Norte have came to perform in the past near Visalia, but we have never attended because a Meet and Greet was never an option. We have small children and it is a huge struggle to get someone to watch them. Since a Meet and Greet was advertised even before tickets went up for sale, we decided we would go through the struggle and the expense of finding someone to watch our children.

During the event and before the band played, the Security Guards (SG) had the VIP people make a line behind the gates, to the side of the stage (stage was not visible from there) for the Meet and Greet. Then the SG were told that if the band did have the Meet and Greet it would be after they played. At this point we were wondering why they said "if" they do the Meet and Greet. So everyone left to be in front of the stage. Fifteen minutes before the band's last song my husband and I made our way to the same gate to be near the front of the Meet and Greet line. The band got off the stage and went directly into their bus and left. A lot of people were left waiting for that Meet and Greet and everyone was upset. *** told the people by the gate that they had been shut down by the fire marshall. *** escorted people out, and on my way out I asked him were I could go to get my full refund. He said to give him a call.

When I called him the next day, he said to call him on Wednesday. When I called him on Wednesday he said to go to the office. When my husband and I went into the office *** and *** said they needed a copy of the receipt and a copy of my husband's ID even though I had my tickets. My husband told them he would not be giving them a copy of his ID, but we would be sending a copy of the receipt. Once I sent him the receipt they still did not give us our refund. I email *** from *** and after emailing her (she CC'd them), *** called and agreed to give us a full refund $240, but it would have to be the following week because they were really busy that week. He said to go in their office, since they are always there according to them, to pick up a check. The next week my husband showed up and *** turned him away. He said their lawyers were creating a form for people to sign. And of course my husband was upset. I emailed him that day and once more it was full of lies. I emailed them yesterday and now they are not replying to me or to other people that are trying to get their refund.

Every single encounter with them has been full of contradictions and lies. I talk to other people that also attended that event and are having the same experience with them and feel the same way. That is why one of them contacted a reporter from the news. *** lied to the reporter saying the Meet and Greet had been announced and it happened before the band played, which it is just one more of their lies. I could sit here and type for hours all the lies and contradictions these promoters have told me and other people, but I am tired of waisting my time.

I know the expense and the struggle it was for us to be able to attend this event with the sole reason being to Meet and Greet this legendary band. One couple there was really upset because they had drove from Madera and they had to work at 4 am and it was about 10:30 pm, to not get what they were promised. My husband and I were not there for anything else, that is why we arrived so late and only stayed for the Meet and Greet that was advertised. We did see people taking pictures with the band under the tent, before they played, but the security guard said that was just for the radio winners. If we wanted to attend this event we could have paid the $40 each and not expect anything, but that is not something we would have left our kids for. So in reality if they would not have false advertised, we would not have attended this event at all saved the $240 and all the expenses we incurred from having to drive our kids out of town to have someone watch them.

Hello ***Yes we have received this complaint and we are waiting on our finalized complaint form. The refunds that would be returned would be the difference of the the GA to VIP once we verify it is a real complaint.Thank you ***

I am rejecting this response because: These guys have been saying that for almost 2 months now. They also gave some people their refund back without having to sign anything. And, I provided them with proof that I bought the tickets way before they decided they were going to have a "form" to prove the tickets were really purchased. Plus, *** had already said that he was going to give me a full refund and once again he is contradicting himself. I am sure that "form" they are talking about is to have people sign off their right of suing them for false advertisement, which I am not going to sign. Or are using the excuse of saying they are waiting for the form hoping people loose interest and forget about the refund they are owed.

My husband and I attended Miche Fest on September 29th at the Visalia Rawhide. We had purchased 2 VIP tickets for $120 each, which were supposed to include a meet and greet with the band after the show.
However, there were no meet and greet allowed after any of the performances. Hundreds of people were scammed into buying a $120 VIP ticket for a $70 general admission experience.
On September 30th I contacted MicheFest via facebook messanger. I recieved a response from ***. He asked me to contact him on Tuesday, October 1st. He apologized explained that there was a misunderstanding and he would be willing to give me a refund for the tickets I purchased. I went to his office in Tulare later that day and he did not have my refund ready, stating his accounts payable person was gone for the day. Over the next few days, *** had many reasons why the check wasnt ready or unavailable to pick up at the office.
On October 7th I texted him asking about the refind. He asked for proof of purchase & I sent it right away. He told me my check would mail out on Friday (October 10th). On October 17th I still had not received the check in the mail so I contacted *** again. He did not answer my calls or texts. When I finally got a hold of him he told me he had gotten a lawyer and they were drafting up a claim form. I dont understand why he couldn't have communicated with me earlier and let me know what was going on. I feel as though he he giving me the run around in order to avoid the refund. Today is October 25th. *** has not answered any of my texts in regards to the form availability.
I am still hoping to receive my refund and resolve this issue in a timely matter.

I am rejecting this response because:This buisness has been claiming that they are waiting on a claim form for several weeks now. The event took place September 29th. The first week of October they claimed they had my check, now they are still looking into the situation. I think they are continuing to give the run around in order to buy more time.
