I am responding to Complaint# ***Our consumer had a problem with the axle on their trailerand that item is warranted by the axle manufacturerThe consumer had made some contact with ouroutside representatives, and they were directed to a local repair shopThe axle manufacturer providedthe
parts at no cost to the consumer, but did not cover the laborAs a good faith gesture, we agreed toassist with the labor expense under the condition that the local repair shop would contact us with anestimate for the labor to make the repairsThat did not happenThe local shop made the repair and thencharged the consumer almost times what we would have reimbursed our authorized dealer for theexact same repair.There was a lack of communication between the consumer and our outside representatives that increasedthe consumer’s dissatisfactionI became aware of the situation when I received a copy of theconsumer’s complaint with youI have been in contact with the consumer and negotiated a solution thatin their words was, “more than fair”, I apologized to the consumer for the break-down incornmuitication with our outside reprèseiitativesThe consumer was happy to hear from me andsatisfied with our solutionWe are in the process of reimbursing that consumer, We consider this issueto be resolved to the consumer’s satisfaction
