The Schuett Companies

By MN Law a landlord needs to advise their tenant of any deductions from their damage deposit and the total of what will be returned within 21 days of moving out. Schuett Companies sends out a generic form letter stating they will be holding the deposit until they determine any damage to the unit. It took nearly 2 weeks for that generic letter to be sent, even AFTER the inspection was completed and work had been done.
Schuett Companies reps lied about the work completion timeline, about the legal requirements being met on their part, and about sending a letter out certified mail to a former tenant. They also have avoided any mention of the penalties they owe for their delays.
As an additional issue, Schuett Companies property in Golden Valley, Flourish Senior Living, has numerous structural and electrical issues and staffing has been a continuing problem with high turnover, and at one point, an uncertified family member providing care services in the building.
