The Sea Gem Motel

Review: My daughter without my knowledge booked a room for prom ( coming up in a week) with this MOTEL. She was asked for a $100 deposit and was NEVER informed that it was for a room that had to have FOUR people.

These are NOT big rooms . Then she was asked to pay an additional $200 for a total of $300 for three nights as ONE if four individuals to a small room. When I heard of this I was livid and said no way . It's not safe .

She cancelled in April and when her deposit was not returned I called there and the manager pretended not to be him . He is [redacted] and has an accent so I knew it was him . He was nasty , refused to return her money based on his policy yet refused to acknowledge he didn't inform the kids the price was based on full occupancy in overcrowded rooms which I suspect may not even be legal occupancy per room. He won't work with me , has been very nasty which then caused me to get [redacted] off . He has not returned one call I've made ( I made two ).

Please help . This is classic taking advantage of teens during prom . I am concerned for overcrowding and safety issues ( fire if any are smoking in the room or drinking as teens at prom are known to do?!!)

To take deposits this large knowing you didn't inform the kids until AFTER YOU YOOK THE DEPOSIT IS A SCAM .Desired Settlement: Deposit returned , apology and the cessation of unsafe crowding of teens in that motel during prom week
