Subject: Case #XXXXXXXX
Dear Mr. [redacted]
This is in response to case # XXXXXXXX:[redacted].
The 30 Day Challenge that [redacted] signed up...

for is an easy to follow program that does include several meal options each week for everyone to choose from. They are asked to attend weekly meetings so that we can counsel them, weigh them in, and check their weekly results. That is when they pick up their detox teas, protein shakes, and vitamins. The money back guarantee that she mentions is good only after one has completely followed the program and completed it and not had results. I have never had anyone ask for their money back until this point. Everything that we do is all whole foods based- no chemicals or anything harmful. I even asked [redacted] to have her doctor to call me so that I could speak with her and her doctor never called. I also told her that I would let her do a shorter program of mine for free and let her do this challenge when she felt that she was ready for no additional charge. This is simply a situation where when she saw the foods were not on the list that she normally eats I feel that she viewed it as too hard and then wanted her money back. She chose to stay in the group the whole 30 days and I guess contacted you all in the meantime. I'm sorry that she disagrees with the way that I run my business but anytime that you are dealing with people that want to lose weight they have to be committed for it to work. This is a situation where she changed her mind and wanted a refund. I would not be in business if I did programs for free everyday for people that wanted to be a part of it but didn't want to pay. I'm sorry that it took me a little while to respond I have been in and out of town and had left this letter in my home.
Thank you for your time,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2015/08/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Obviously my complaint was not properly read so some of this response will have some repeated information for anyone who missed it the first time. I asked to be taken out of the group from day 1 and [redacted] refused to remove me from the group. She told me she would not refund my money and all she could say was to take what I could from it. I was never offered to do a shorter version of the program. I was also never given a time or place to meet to pick up any of the detox teas, protein shakes, and vitamins that I have paid for and still haven't received after, basically being forced to stay in the program. She refused to communicate with me after I asked to be removed from the group and for a refund. I then contacted the co-owner as I stated in my original complaint and she told me that she wished she could help but after trying to talk with [redacted] she couldn't give me my money back because [redacted] was the one who had taken it. It also states on her website which I included a picture of in first statement of 100 percent money back guarantee. No where on that page does it state you must complete the entire program first. I think that she has behaved like a child and not a business owner regarding this matter. I feel that if anyone else has asked for a refund in the past she probably reacted to them the same way she has to me. I also believe that she is not running a business but she is running a SCAM on innocent people. She is taking advantage of them by receiving money not providing what she says she is going to and not standing behind a money back guarantee she has posted on her website. I really feel sorry for someone that would stoop that low as to basically rob people of their hard earned money.
