Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/11/09) */ We are very sorry that Mrs [redacted] is dissatisfied with her experience at The Shoe MarketOur store policy has always been for store credits or exchanges only; we have never done refundsThe policy is posted in four distinct locations at our registers (it reads: The Shoe Market will gladly exchange un-used regular priced merchandise in original packaging with receipt for daysSorry no refunds.); the policy is also on the Visa slip she signed at time of purchase and is on the store receiptAlthough the item that Mrs [redacted] purchased was on sale, we will be happy to provide her with a non-expiring store credit that she can use on any future purchase Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/11/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Basically, it is the salesman's word against mine, and The Shoe Market will stand by an employee over a customer who has only shopped there twiceAfter further research, I found that a similar complaint was filed with Revdex.com earlier this year which was not resolved in the customer's favorI guess I too (as did the other customer) will have to chalk it up as a lossI will not be returning to this store, and I will discourage friends and family members from shopping there as wellIt is poor customer service to tell a buyer one thing, and then not stand by your word

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I spent a good amount of time on the phone with MrC [redacted] The best part of this experience was the professionalism of MrC [redacted] Although I was, at the beginning, not pleased with the process or the procedure, MrC [redacted] was calm and pleasant throughoutThey did resolve my issue to my satisfaction I still am not a fan of the store procedure that is in place, but there is no questioning the dedication MrC [redacted] has towards his customers As long as customers are well aware of the no return policy, people should give the Shoe Market a try and see for themselvesThey will be well taken care of and treated exceptionally well

Because one buying experience does not reflect an overall profile of the standing of a good business, this deals with only one person's occasion: My financial position is very low middle class, so I went in wearing an inexpensive pair of quite flat sneakers, to look for a sale-priced pair with better support Salesman #was kind, direct, and professional, and we found a pair in the rear sales room that seemed to fit right away I bought them willingly, but after days on carpet found them catching me at the toes, and discovered they were a half-size too long When I took them back to look for a better fit, the guy who offered help told me I was "not picking up my feet"! My response was that no other pair of shoes did that to me, and they were too long He proclaimed salesman #and himself to be "Certified PODOROTRISTS" with many years' experience hinting I had no real knowledge to compare with theirsWhen I told him I was and had a lot of experience fitting myself and my children, he told me he was - well- nearly - and when he assured me again he was a Certified PodOROtrist, I asked him to spell that please, he could not! I believe a man at the top of his profession should be able at least to spell his own title....there is no such word Then he proceeded to pick up my cheap sneakers and flex them, stating that I should "Pay someone $to take them off my hands and wear them" since they were not good for my feet I am still working, and had some dirt clumped under the center of the sole of one of my shoes, which he noticed and kindly took away, cleaned it off , and returned with the shoe so as to "not dirty up their carpets"! Then I asked - politely - again- the second time- if I might just look for a pair on my own, and he relinquished my shoes to me after he told me that going barefoot was the worst thing one could do to the feet, in answer to my specific question about that I was much relieved to shop on my own, and found a pair which fit beautifully, but were ten dollars cheaper! The rest of the salespersons were friendly and helpful, and I commend themNo resolution needed [redacted]
