Review: First [redacted] of [redacted] United States.In July of 2013, [redacted], a member of the Board of ourchurch (First [redacted] of [redacted]) and Imet with [redacted], of The Sign Place, located in [redacted]We explained the type of sign we wanted, and he agreed to drawup a picture of the proposed sign and to give us en estimatwdprice.Around two weeks later he presented us with the picture and gaveus an estimate of $1,400, as I recall.After consideration by the Board and all the members of thechurch, we agreed to his proposal and gave him a check (#[redacted],payable to The Sign Place for *0% of the amount, or $700.After a few weeks delay, [redacted] had the two posts for the signinstalled. However, when the sign was not installed, [redacted]telephoned him, and he stated that there had been a small fire atthe place where the signs were manufactured, but would proceed toremake the sign. When, after a few more weeks passed and thesign had still not appeared, [redacted] again called him. [redacted] then stated that his mother, living in Florida, was ill andthat he had gone to Florida to be with her. After two or threemore weeks had passed, [redacted] drove by The Sign Place at[redacted]. and found that apparently it had beenvacated. [redacted] eventually obtained his home telephonenumber and called him there and spoke briefly with him. Duringthat conversation he promised to either make good on his promise to furnish the sign or refund our $700.As of January *, 2014, [redacted] has done neither. [redacted]Desired Settlement: Either Refund $700 or Make the sign Board
