12/10/2015On March 23rd, 2015, *** *** moved into The Sinclair Apartments*** was responsible to call the electriccompany, Puget Sound Energy, to have them start her service on this dayShe was informed of this prior to her move-indate as is
all applicants that move into our community*** did not call PSE to set up her electricityDue to her notstarting service this day, she did get charged for electric of $from 03/23/2015-04/30/2015,on 06/01/fromour 3rd party billing AUM.AUM is for water, sewer, and trashThey also are responsible to bill a resident if they have not set up service for theirelectricity so that the property can recoup these expenses*** did come in asking why her bill was so high and weexplained that it was because The Sinclair Apartments had paid these bills due to her failure to set up her electricaccount under her name upon move-in.Once *** started her service with Puget Sound Energy, she received a bill for $with due date on of08/04/She put this information under our office door, with a note saying "we owe her $208.32" and a number toUTCNot understanding her note, we did call this company and they only take complaintsThey referred us to PSE.Puget Sound Energy told us *** did notstart services in March when she moved inHowever when she did finally callto set up service, PSE back dated it to March 23, Therefore, PSE owed The Sinclair Apartments a refund becausethe property paid the bill during that time and they were now billing *** so as to not collect a double payment theysent us a refund
Due to the fact that she was back billed from when she moved in by AUM, we did credit her account $77.01, which sheowed to us in June for not setting up her electric in MarchWe explained this to *** as to why she was not owed arefund several timesPSE had this same conversation with her as well and confirmed with The Sinclair Apartments that*** is not due any refunds*** has said she did understand, but we continue to have this issue with her.It does state in her lease, that residents do pay for all utilitiesWater, sewer, and trash are billed from our 3rd party,AUM and paid with rent to The SinclairElectric is to be set up before move in by resident with Puget Sound Energy andpaid to Puget Sound EnergyWe also provide a trash service, Valet Waste, which is a flat rate of $a monthThis is aservice that is provided and separate from the removal of the trash compactor.Recently The Sinclair Apartments has tried to contact *** again several times over the past few weeks to respond toher concerns due to her reports filed with the Revdex.comUnfortunately *** has not returned any of the property's callsand has not stopped by the leasing office.The Sinclair Apartments and Puget Sound Energy have explained this scenario to *** several times as to why she isnot due any refundsThe Sinclair Apartments staff have gone above and beyond for *** in order to resolve thissituationThe Sinclair Apartments considers this matter closed as *** electric account is in her name and allinvoicing has been properly billed leaving *** with a credit of $77.01.Thank you,The Sinclair Apartments*** ** *** ***Port Orchard, WA
