I bought into a monthly membership and the location closed unexpectedlyThe other location is far from my house and I refuse to drive the extra distanceThey have collected my monthly charge but I have not been able to use the service until the Orange location opens back up and they have mentioned it would, but now I am not sureI have asked for a refund and they refusedI think they are unreasonable and am sorry I bought the membership, I should have used my initial Groupon and moved along!

Review: I began using the spa's services on October 5, 2013. I purchased a membership in the amount of $39 per month. In November, a technician named [redacted] requested I come in more often than once a month (every 2-3 weeks) and told me the extra services were complimentary. I attended appointments per her suggestion until May 3, 2014. That was my last appointment and I did not book another because the spa was unable to accommodate my schedule. As the business became increasingly busy, appointments were more difficult to schedule. After skipping June and July, I left a voicemail canceling my membership, but did not hear back. I went to the spa and talked to [redacted] on July 19, 2013, requesting my membership be cancelled. At the time [redacted] offered to schedule appointments to redeem the 2 months I was owed. I declined as I am currently under the medical care of a dermatologist that recommended I not have anything further done with my skin. [redacted] told me he would submit my refund request to "Lisa" and she would get back to me next week. I was contacted near the end of July, presumably by [redacted], and told that my account would not be refunded because of "extra services" I received in 2013. I told them those were comped per [redacted] and suggested they ask her about it. I was told that he would look into it and "someone" would contact me. After no response, I called on Aug 8 and was told "someone" would call me "next week". Again, I did not receive a response, so I went to the spa Aug 16 to talk to [redacted]. He emailed and texted management and said "someone" would get back to me. Today I received a phone call from [redacted] saying that, after reviewing my account several times, management will not refund my money. I do not find this businesses practices to be ethical. On a side note, my mother is a client there, as are two friends that I referred to the spa. Why this company is unwilling to provide good customer service and refund the money is very confusing to me.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund the membership fees charged for the months of June and July 2013 in the amount of $78. The fact that I was offered appointments to redeem the amount indicates to me that I have a credit with the company.
