advertise that mishandling product leads to damage and possibly worse, therefore we house all old, used mattresses in a separate faculty.      Yesturday, a man walked into our store demanding to talk to the owner. Once I introduced myself he demanded we step outside, I complied. Note 3 employees of mine are witnessing this mans behaviors.  Without telling me his name or showing me any reciepts of purchase he begins to tell me our products gave his home bed bugs.  At which point I asked him when he purchased his bed , he replied 6 months ago, which he also states in his claim.  I asked him first, why he would assume the bugs came from our product, 6 month after purchase. I also explained that if a bed or furniture had an infestation, it would be noticed right away, not 6 months later.   I explained that all of our products are brand new and sealed in plastic and boxes, I even offered to show him the original bill of sale for the product and build orders with the factories.  He refused to provide any reciepts or even his name, at which point I advised him to come back with his paperwork. He then demanded a full refund or threatened to bash our reputation on Yelp, Facebook and the Revdex.com, at which point I informed him that he would acting illegally by wrongfully defaming and slandering our business.    Because the customer would not identify himself I wrote down his license plate number as we were concerned about his behavior. We investigated his plate numbers, found his name and address, we then google mapped his address and found he is the neighbor of our former delivery driver, the driver that is "source" of false information.      We advertise a 120 day guarantee on all of our products and are more than happy to help customers when they are dissatisfied with a product. We are at no loss for exchanging products as our suppliers give full credit, so we are happy to exchange and help. This customer never complained prior, never contacted us in any way, and after 6 Months he and his family could've picked up bedbugs a hundred different ways. 6 months is a very long time and they could've traveled to a hotel, child stayed the night at a friends, old furniture, etc. but after 6 months, its more than obvious our products can't be the cause.  We have 2000 customers and hundreds of reviews, we also provide mattresses to Cal Fire Firehouses and never have seen a bedbug.    Note: the delivery driver and customer neighbor is retaliating because we found out that his side business, Jackies Catering was operating without a license. We met the driver at an AYSO soccer event he was catering, we hired him to cater our events at the Sleep Squad which lead to him working for us full time a driver.. Soon after we found out that his catering business was unlicensed. Being that I volunteer for AYSO I had to inform them we could no longer use them to cater our soccer events.  AYSO decided not to hire their services going forward , we also decided to part with this driver, which is now this customers source of information.   We comply with allCalifornia regulations, consumer affairs and MRC ( mattress Recycling Council ) and always welcome the Revdex.com to visit. We recently had an event for the local high school to which the Mayor of LE attended. We are a very visible and reputation oriented company, we are overly  cautious of how we interact with the public as we cater to Police, Military, Fire and community workers as part of our daily business. We offer all customer the chance to explain any concerns , but this customer never identified himself nor provided any paperwork of any kind. Concerned , we were prepared to alert the police but luckily he left the property. We are making a file at the local police dept as we are concerned for our safety as this former driver has an arrest record and has served time.    Of this customer would like to discuss this matter in person we are open to it but would we require a 3rd party witness, perhaps a conference call with the Revdex.com , customer and myself is an option.
