We were sorry to hear this complaint had been filed against usWe never like to have a patient upset about their experience at our clinicIn response to *** *** complaint, we would like to say we do have
documentation of Dr Elizabeth O*** time spent with the patient being face to face for minutesDuring this visit, she gave recommendations for dietary changes, vitamin and mineral supplementation, massage and/or acupuncture, and also offered a referral for physical therapyDrO*** has extensive notes of their visit, which could not have been accomplished in the minute time frame that Ms*** claims
As far as the front desk saying her daughter wouldn't be referred out, obviously this visit took place in September of last year so our front desk staff has no specific recollection of scheduling this particular visitFront desk staff has no way to know what the provider will recommendThey do not have a way to know if a patient will need a referral or notBeing that this patient had extensive pain and additional neurological concerns, I can't imagine anyone here would have promised such a thing, especially since DrO*** doesn't specialize in pain management or "neurological conditions"
Lastly, we suspect that this complaint, coming months after the visit, may be due to her receiving multiple statements for her unpaid balancePatients are responsible for confirming coverage with their insurance companyWe were given insurance to bill, but she did not have naturopathic benefits, at that point the balance became her responsibility when insurance did not cover the visit
In the spirit of goodwill, we would like to offer to discount the balance equivalent to that of the day of service rate(Day of service rate assumes that no insurance is being billed.) This would bring the balance due to $149, rather than $that's currently outstanding

If Mrs. [redacted] was assured that Dr. O[redacted] would not refer her daughter anywhere else, then I am very sorry. This is not an assurance we would or should have been making. Also, I am sorry she didn’t get the help she was looking for, for her daughter. This miscommunication certainly wasn’t intentional. Mrs. [redacted] has paid the reduced bill for that appointment, which we appreciate.

Complaint: [redacted]I am still unhappy, 
I have made my complain known previously, as well as I specifically explained my daughters condition prior to making an apt. In the response to the Revdex.com, they now state the doctor doesn't specialize in exactly what we asked to be seen for. 
There was NO referral to PT. the doctors said "maybe a physical therapist would help?" Which we answered we have already been doing PT. 
the dietary changes were to suggest an elimination diet, to which we also explained we had been doing. There was no tests performed, or other discussions. No mineral or supplement suggestions were given. The doctor then referred us to another dr at another location. 
Unfortunately, my timing to complain is only due to finally being able to take the time to file a complaint. I called two days after the appt to express my dissatisfaction and my feelings. I was advised the balance was my responsibility regardless.  
My main concern is that I very clearly explained my daughters possible neurological condition and chronic pain and asked before hand if this is something the doctor could help with. I very clearly stated I did not want an appt just to be referred to someone else. I was advised the doctor DID work with conditions such as this. This was a bait and switch. 
We will make the payment and appreciate the offer to reduce the amount to the original price, however I am still unhappy with their misleading practice.Sincerely,[redacted]
