While I accept this response and appreciate that the language comes across as much friendlier than the initial encounter, I continue to disagree with the blanket statement that these socks fit over shin guardsThis is evidenced by my average size year old daughters inability to wear them comfortably due to extreme constriction when placed over guardsThis is also not simply based on her input, her father noted this as well after they were wornBecause I am unable to bring my daughter along on every shopping trip, I do rely on expertise, which is why I asked for an opinionAnd I had absolutely no intention of purchasing this item until it was recommended to meWhether or not an item may be returned to the manufacturer is irrelevant; I believe a store owner should be willing to accept when their suggestion falls short and do everything within their power to rectify the circumstanceEspecially since I was requesting an even exchange- not even a refund, which in my opinion should be worth $to have me back as a returning customerAnd should this be viewed as me simply being a difficult customer, I would like to note that I have never written a negative review for a business before and this is my first complaint through the Revdex.comThank you for taking the time to respond

states returned items need to be in original condition with tags attached. These socks were worn during a game, had no packaging, and can not be resold as a new item. I have sold over 50 pairs of this style of sock to a variety of soccer players and they do fit over shin guards. Sock size is based on shoe size but other considerations must be taken into account. Without the player being in the store to try them on, I gave you my expert opinion based on many years of experience. Ultimately it is up to the customer to make the final decision. If your daughter had tried them on prior to wearing them for her game and brought them in to exchange at that time we absolutely could have had her try on a variety of sock styles/brands to find the one that would work best for her. We do strive to give best-in-class customer service compared to other sporting good and soccer specialty stores.
