The reservation referenced in this complaint was never madeThe contract for our July [redacted] dinner was sent out to the guest, but due to a misunderstanding about our cancellation policy the reservation was never made, and the guest was never chargedThe guest misunderstood our policy for special event cancellationsWe take a nonrefundable deposit to hold a space for the guestThe guest can cancel provided we have more than hours prior to July 4th and avoid being charged the full amount of the dinnerThe deposit is not refundable once it is processed, and guests who do not show up or decide to cancel with less than hours notice are charged the full price for the eventIn this case the guest wanted the deposit returned if he cancelled, and that is never our policy
