I moved out of my apartment and turned in the keys on Feb 11, 2020. I asked if they were going to contact *** to turn off the *** in my name. I was informed by their representative that they would. On March 16, 2020, I received an e-mail indicating that I hade a pending *** bill. I printed the bill and it was for the period of Feb 13 - March 13, 2020, in the amount of $48.97. My normal billing averages around $30.00 per month.
I called the office and they basically told me that they would not pay this bill even though I turned in the keys on Feb 11, 2020, and that I am on my own. I called *** on March 17, 2020, to request a disconnect for that apartment. *** did inform me that it would be disconnected as of March 18, 2020, and any remaining billing including this current bill would be subtracted from my deposit.

I tried contacting the resident twice and left him voice mails to call us back and have been unsuccessful in communicating with him. The resident has to contact *** himself since it was under his name, my hands are tied at the moment in being able to assist him unless he calls us back. Apparently *** some how either billed the apartment complex for when I received my check from *** it appeared that they gave me the credit. In my opinion they most likely wrote off the debt.
