Unfortunately, there is a bit of a misunderstanding surrounding [redacted]'s application.  She informed Bridget that she had a discharged bankruptcy on her record, as she mentions in her submitted statement.  Bridget's email to [redacted] notified her that we had decided to move forward with...

a different applicant due to a number of things on her record; however, what she didn't clarify is that we received another application prior to [redacted]'s application regardless.  When Bridget spoke to [redacted] about her bankruptcy, there were multiple showings with potential applicants that same day.  This can be verified with Rental History Reports, the third party company used for screening services.  On our account, they can confirm that on 08/09/2016 we had an individual submit his application at 4:25pm and his report was completed by RHR at 4:28pm on 08/09/2016, which means we are able to review the report and approve or deny the applicant at that time.  [redacted] submitted her application on 08/09/2016 at 7:11pm and her report was completed by RHR at 3:11pm on 08/11/2016.  We review applications in order of submission time, so by the time that [redacted]'s report was returned to us two days later, the first applicant had already been accepted and had dropped off his security deposit to lock-in the unit.In Bridget's email to [redacted], she ends with "We would be happy to assist you in your search for a different property;" however, [redacted] was not interested in looking into other options.I am happy to discuss further details, but the fact remains that another applicant was first in line for this unit based on time of application being submitted. Regards,Heather [redacted]
