Wedding reception at our premises on May *, 2016. He made a second follow up appointment for March **, 2016 at 8 p.m. Our office hours are Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 7p.m. However, as a courtesy we made the 8 p.m.  for which 2 office staff must always be present in the building. Nevertheless, [redacted] and his family did not arrive until 8:30 p.m.  During their second meeting on March **, 2016 with [redacted] , the sales manager, she honored the estimate she had given them two days prior for $9000. However, [redacted] claimed that $9000 included the DJ service as well which was not true and neither was it written on the estimate. In fact, [redacted] during their meeting on March **, 2016 [redacted] stated that he was friends with a DJ and would not the service of a DJ through us; thus, we she did not even quote him a price for the DJ service. During the second meeting, [redacted] inquired about the photography and videography service for which we quoted him an additional $2000 plus NY sales tax. The second meeting continued past 10 p.m. at which point we informed [redacted] that we do not have authority from management to remain in the building past 10:30 p.m. due to security reasons and that we could continue the meeting on a different day. On or about 10:10 p.m. [redacted] threatened [redacted] that if she did not sign the contract today he would call the police on her. [redacted] asked him at that point to repeat he said and leave the building as it is was appropriate. Moreover, [redacted] bribed [redacted] and stated that “ I will take care of you.” [redacted] was rude to [redacted] throughout the second meeting; nevertheless, she acted in a professional manner as he was a prospective client. When [redacted] was exiting the building he threatened that he will put the estimate in all newspapers. The next [redacted] fiancé, [redacted], came to The Sterling without an appointment and demanded to speak to higher management or [redacted]. [redacted] was informed that [redacted] in a client meeting and higher management was not in the building. She was also told that we can call her to schedule an appointment. However, she demanded that she wants to meet with [redacted] or higher management and that she has recorded last night’s conversation on her cellular telephone. During that time [redacted] called the office twice and threatened on the phone to two office assistants that if his fiancé is not seen by [redacted] within 15 minutes from now, he will post the estimate in newspapers, social media and take us to civil court. [redacted] was seen on March **, 2016 by a different manger and later higher management to discuss the threats her fiancé was making to our staff. The question is why would we or any business ever in his words “refuse” business. We would never refuse any business as it is how we stay in business and pay our employees. Nevertheless, three staff member felt afraid and threatened by [redacted] for not doing anything wrong. We simply told [redacted] that we first needed to have a meeting with our staff members to discuss the issues because they were scared of him as he told them he would call the cops on the, bribed the, threated to put their names on newspapers, social media etc. This is the last contact we had with [redacted] and [redacted]. Please note that he only had an estimate from us, not a contract, and neither did he make any deposit to book his event with us. His behavior towards our employees was very rude, unprofessional and unethical to bribe my employees. Since, we have not heard from the couple, we wish them good luck for their future together. Our employees were anxious afterwards and feared that we could even get physically abusive the way he behaved on the telephone and in person.
