The Stitchery of St. Simons Reviews (6)

RevDex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I signed the lease and re-read the lease agreement before sending my complaint. My car was not disabled. It could have been driveable I just chose not to drive it. I actually did drive it a bit. It was not illegally parked because I live in the complex. It was sitting there for about 5 days, but that was because I was out of town. The same tow company told me that they had no right to tow the vehicle. Now the complex is saying they did. That tow company also doesn't fix exhaust so they wouldn't know how extensive the damage was. That tow company also had my catalytic converter off and in the grass to the side. When I got back I could have reported the car stolen bcecause no one notified me. There wasn't even a sticker on the car. When I went to speak to the agent for the owner she spoke to me as if I was nothing instead of a human being. I was humiliated. Some thing needs to be done. Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I want to preface this by indicating that we have absolutely nothing to gain from this review except that we want the truth to be mentioned about an issue that we had with Crittenden Way Apartments, so that future tenants are awareYes, this may not be indicative of their entire dealings with other tenants, but this is an issue that should be knownOn the flip side, Crittenden Way does have something to gain as they clearly would like to defend the reputation of their businessAs such, there is an incentive to misconstrue information and details It is true that they did fix the patch and paint itHowever they had stated they would return the next day on May 21st, yet they came over a week later after we filed the complaint on May 29thI had even called the office on May 21st to remind them and they had said someone would be over that afternoon to fix itStill, we are appreciative that they finally fixed it even though it was days later. Also, I wanted to let the Revdex.com know that in the Business Response there are two statementsThe first is that the water was not clear the first time, even then it was brown and dirtyThe second statement they wrote in their business response is that they sent someone over to clean the mess after the second incidentThat is false, as I was the one who cleaned the mess despite being pregnantFortunately I took pictures for proofI'm not sure why they lied about that. The ceiling has been fixed now and that issue is resolvedHowever, I wanted to make the Revdex.com aware of the two statements they wrote in their Business Response

there was water leaking in the ceiling from the apartment above. Our maintenance staff confirms that at this time the water leaking from upstairs was clear. Maintenance tightened the bolts on the toilet from the apartment above #4 to stop the leak. The tenant then called back at 3:00 pm the same day stating that it was leaking again. Maintenance then poked a screwdriver size hole in the ceiling to drain the water. (The water was clear) On May 20th we then received another call from the tenant stating the ceiling was leaking over the toilet. When maintenance  investigated the issue, they found that the apartment above had overflowed the toilet. Maintenance took care of this issue and told the tenant we would repair the ceiling as soon as it was dry. The tenant called in to say that she was pregnant and the dripping had left a mess on her toilet. Maintenance was called immediately and sent to clean up the mess. .The ceiling was repaired and painted on May 29th 2015. Every time the tenant called in maintenance responded within an hour.Thank You,Crittenden Way Apartments

The rule regarding vehicle parking is stated in our lease and signed by a tenant prior to moving in.  In the Rules and Regulations section, the lease states: Rules and Regulations:2. Any vehicle parked illegally within the complex will
be removed from the property without notice and at the...

tenant's expense.4.Un-licensed, unregistered and/or disabled vehicles
will be towed from the premises without notification and at the tenant's
expense.6. Only one (1) vehicle per apartment may be parked in
the front lane near each building. All other vehicles must be parked in the
visitor's parking area-NO EXCEPTIONS.
Proper parking permit is required. No cars without plates, registration,
or inspection are allowed stored in parking lots.A parking permit must be displayed in the rear view mirror to park against the curb, other wise the vehicle is parked illegally and will be towed.  The tenant that owned the vehicle did not have a parking permit displayed as well as the car appeared to disabled.  (There were pieces hanging from the vehicle.)  We were receiving calls continually from tenants stating that there was a vehicle parked up against the curb without a parking permit as well as the vehicle appeared to be broken down and was not being moved.  After a week of receiving calls regarding this vehicle, we had the vehicle towed to the company that handles towing for us. The company that towed the vehicle stated that the vehicle was in fact broken down. According to the signed lease by the tenant we were within our rights to tow this vehicle.
