The Stool & Dinette Factory, Inc. Reviews (13)

I came in to Stool and Dinette Factory looking to purchase a table for my home (replacing our old one) There were a ton to choose from (glass, wood and laminate styles) and our sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable I ended up picking a round table that had a center base (perfect to replace my post one and seat people rather than 4) I also ended up buying a single chair for my desk that was a stock clearance item so it was better quality and cloth material (I hadn't planned on buying that, but I spent less on the table so I could afford to)

On May 5, 2015, we purchased eight 30-inch bar stools from The Stool & Dinette Factory, *** ** *** *** *** ***, Scottsdale, AZ We were told the stools were made by a company in California and it would take fifteen weeks for them to arrive That would be August We paid $1,340.00, which included a $delivery charge and would owe $1,upon delivery of the bar stools Late July I called Stool & Dinette to schedule a delivery date Then I was told by the salesperson, Vickie O***, that the company in California is way behind schedule and she couldn't even schedule delivery for stools ordered prior to ours I called Stool & Dinette August to check on the progress of our order The woman answering the phone said the only person we could talk to about our order is Vickie and she was busy with a customer After not hearing back from her several hours later, I called again and learned from Vickie that the company making these bar stools has gone out of business and she'd just heard about this last week When I told her we needed to have our *** deposit credited, she said they're working to find another company to build the stools and the same thing has happened to many of their other customers When I insisted, she said she would credit our account but it would take ten days to show up on our account I was surprised it would take that long for a credit to go through but VISA said that is normal On August we went to Stool & Dinette Factory to obtain a written copy of the promised refund By August 22, no credit appeared on our VISA account My husband called VISA August and was told to give Stool & Dinette until Friday The credit still did not appear August We called VISA and VISA credited our account We feel that Stool & Dinette Factory never intended to process our refund

Ms*** did originally contact our store on 8-1-regarding the broken weld on her stool That day, it was sent over to the manufacturer for replacement The sales person she talked to, supposedly gave her a lead time of weeks to repair However, this is just by Ms***'s
comment I spoke to the sale person *** *** who took a follow up call from her and she told me that she told Ms*** that it had been ordered and as soon as a new base was here, we would exchange it out for her The original request was sent over on 8-1-(to the manufacturer) as well as followed up (you can see my emails) with manufacturer on the 5th of August, and the 2nd of September as well as I have had verbal communication with the manufacture times from the 23rd of August to the 4th of September trying to find out if he could be shipped with my schedule truck of merchandise The manufacturer has not given me a solid answer I spoke to Mr*** on the 6th of September (Saturday) to which I told him that I was doing everything in my power to find out where the stool base replacement was He was told that the store manager was not in due to being a Saturday and that the store manager was not expected until Monday afternoon at the earliest I also told him that I apologize about the stool not being in, and that he should have never been given a lead time of two weeks for a replacement (the manufacturer has been backlogged for months and that most metal has been given lead times of 6-weeks at this point) He grew rude with me and told me that "that is unacceptable and he wanted his money back for the stool then." I politely told him that he would and could only speak to a manager about that (it's not in my line of scope) I also told him that I would follow up on Monday with the manufacturer and have it UPS'd asap (as well as you can see that I also emailed them that same day demanding the same thing) I also never told Mr*** that the owner wasn't in the office I also gave him his name and that I would address this with him when he came in on Monday I did state that Mr*** (the owner) is not in the office a lot during the weekend and that due to some personal matters, he was going to be in and out over the course of the next couple of weeks so he'd be hard to catch Mr*** does like us to handle complaints, which is why before I left on Saturday as well as the week prior I had been working on getting her base here Mr*** and I ended our call with the agreement that I would follow up first thing Monday morning and let him know an answer that afternoon or first thing Tuesday Instead of doing my end of the bargain, I'm replying to this Revdex.com complaint so other consumers know that we do take care of warranty repairs I do apologize that Ms*** thought it would only be a couple of weeks, but I do have every intention of fixing her stool, it will be though in a more accurate lead time of 6-weeks as that is the manufacturer's lead time Attached are email and fax correspondence of the repair

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.Regards,*** ***

I had previously filed a compaint against The stool and Dinette factory regarding a refund I was promised and never received. I had gone to the store on Nov. 11th and was promised a refund in 2 weeks.I have not received it. They did call on Dec 7th and stated my chairs were in and would I like...

to pick them up on. I explained I had cancelled that order on Nov.11th and bought other chairs elsewhere.  These chairs had been promised in 4 to 6 weeks on July 25th. When I went to the store on Nov 11th they stated they had problems establishing an account with the company they had ordered from and the chairs would take 1 week to make and 1 week to ship. It had already been 4 months not the 4 weeks promised and I had informed them to cancel the order and refund my money.  As I had stated in my previous complaint, this store has had my money since Jan, when the first set of chairs I had ordered was never fulfilled.  I have called the store since Feb. and have repeatedly asked the manager to call me, he never has.  I have been yelled at, hung up on, and lied to. I am so frustrated , all I want is the money I paid in Jan. to be credited to my Discover card, which is how I paid in Jan. they have had my money for almost a year!!I bought a new house in Jan., 2015 and have since :bought all new furniture at La-Z-Boy and had excellent serviceinstalled a pool and redid my entire back yard with Unique Pool and Patio again excellent service and top quality workmanshipbuilt a garage thru Badger Building and once again excellent workmanship and serviceAll I needed was 4 kitchen chairs and it has been a nightmare.I have never filed a complaint before to anyone, but this company is beyond rude and disrespectful.Any help you could give me would be appreciated.Thank you,[redacted]

We have been repeatedly given dates at which we will be paid.  Until a check is cashed by us for this complaint, it will stand.  They are not reliable and do not fulfill their promises.

Ms. [redacted] did originally contact our store on 8-1-2014 regarding the broken weld on her stool.  That day, it was sent over to the manufacturer for replacement.  The sales person she talked to, supposedly gave her a lead time of 2 weeks to repair.  However, this is just by Ms. [redacted]'s...

comment.  I spoke to the sale person [redacted] who took a follow up call from her and she told me that she told Ms. [redacted] that it had been ordered and as soon as a new base was here, we would exchange it out for her.  The original request was sent over on 8-1-14 (to the manufacturer) as well as followed up (you can see my emails) with manufacturer on the 5th of August, and the 2nd of September as well as I have had verbal communication with the manufacture 3 times from the 23rd of August to the 4th of September trying to find out if he could be shipped with my schedule truck of merchandise.  The manufacturer has not given me a solid answer.  I spoke to Mr. [redacted] on the 6th of September (Saturday) to which I told him that I was doing everything in my power to find out where the stool base replacement was.  He was told that the store manager was not in due to being a Saturday and that the store manager was not expected until Monday afternoon at the earliest.  I also told him that I apologize about the stool not being in, and that he should have never been given a lead time of two weeks for a replacement (the manufacturer has been backlogged for 2 months and that most metal has been given lead times of 6-8 weeks at this point).  He grew rude with me and told me that "that is unacceptable and he wanted his money back for the stool then."  I politely told him that he would and could only speak to a manager about that (it's not in my line of scope).  I also told him that I would follow up on Monday with the manufacturer and have it UPS'd asap (as well as you can see that I also emailed them that same day demanding the same thing).  I also never told Mr. [redacted] that the owner wasn't in the office.  I also gave him his name and that I would address this with him when he came in on Monday.  I did state that Mr. [redacted] (the owner) is not in the office a lot during the weekend and that due to some personal matters, he was going to be in and out over the course of the next couple of weeks so he'd be hard to catch.  Mr. [redacted] does like us to handle complaints, which is why before I left on Saturday as well as the week prior I had been working on getting her base here.  Mr. [redacted] and I ended our call with the agreement that I would follow up first thing Monday morning and let him know an answer that afternoon or first thing Tuesday.  Instead of doing my end of the bargain, I'm replying to this Revdex.com complaint so other consumers know that we do take care of warranty repairs.  I do apologize that Ms. [redacted] thought it would only be a couple of weeks, but I do have every intention of fixing her stool, it will be though in a more accurate lead time of 6-8 weeks as that is the manufacturer's lead time.  Attached are email and fax correspondence of the repair.

On May 5, 2015, we purchased eight 30-inch bar stools from The Stool & Dinette Factory, [redacted], Scottsdale, AZ 85254. We were told the stools were made by a company in California and it would take fifteen weeks for them to arrive. That would be August 18. We paid $1,340.00, which included a $79 delivery charge and would owe $1,338.20 upon delivery of the bar stools. Late July I called Stool & Dinette to schedule a delivery date. Then I was told by the salesperson, Vickie O[redacted], that the company in California is way behind schedule and she couldn't even schedule delivery for stools ordered prior to ours. I called Stool & Dinette August 6 to check on the progress of our order. The woman answering the phone said the only person we could talk to about our order is Vickie and she was busy with a customer. After not hearing back from her several hours later, I called again and learned from Vickie that the company making these bar stools has gone out of business and she'd just heard about this last week. When I told her we needed to have our [redacted] deposit credited, she said they're working to find another company to build the stools and the same thing has happened to many of their other customers. When I insisted, she said she would credit our account but it would take ten days to show up on our account. I was surprised it would take that long for a credit to go through but VISA said that is normal. On August 7 we went to Stool & Dinette Factory to obtain a written copy of the promised refund. By August 22, no credit appeared on our VISA account. My husband called VISA August 24 and was told to give Stool & Dinette until Friday. The credit still did not appear August 28. We called VISA and VISA credited our account. We feel that Stool & Dinette Factory never intended to process our refund.

I came in to Stool and Dinette Factory looking to purchase a table for my home (replacing our old one). There were a ton to choose from (glass, wood and laminate styles) and our sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up picking a round table that had a center base (perfect to replace my 4 post one and seat 5 people rather than 4). I also ended up buying a single chair for my desk that was a stock clearance item so it was better quality and cloth material (I hadn't planned on buying that, but I spent less on the table so I could afford to).
