The TaxBloom Group Reviews (%countItem)

I received mail from Tax Bloom stating that I paid too much money for my property taxes for the years 2014-2017, so I signed the letter and mailed it back to get my refund, the representative came to my job for the signing of documents, this was in the beginning of 2018, I informed the representative that I was moving in June because the guy that lived downstairs from me offered to buy my Condo, so me and my husband accepted the offer, and he insured me that the checks would come to my new address, I signed the papers and he was on his way. 2014 and 2015, did not come directly to my new address, they were actually forwarded to my new address through the mail, 2016 I have not received to this day, because it was issued to the guy who bought my condo and he cashed it, 2017 was forwarded to my new address, so this representative gave me false information because if he had told me about the forwarding I would have declined, because I do not trust that. They actually had the nerve to tell me to go to my ex neighbor house and try to retrieve the money from him, really???, this check was in his name, do you really think he is going to give me the money back because I said it is my money, so I don't know when I will get my 2016 refund. I hired Tax Bloom to take care of this because I have to give them a third of every check, and they just gave my money away. I lived in and owned the Condo in 2016, this is really unfair, this company is so messy, disorganized, and they give you false information, if you receive any mail from Tax Bloom throw it in the garbage because they will say anything to get you to sign.

Dear Ms.,

In response to your complaint:

Last week one of our analysts went to the Cook County Treasurer's Office on your behalf, and (Maurice) we were told that the new owner Sagir *** also applied for the homeowner refund for the tax year 2016, and it was awarded to him instead. He (Maurice) said that refund was awarded by the Cook County Assessors office. Our analyst then went to the Assessors office on your behalf and they replied that they would not answer any COE questions until Aug 5 due to their current workload. Next week we will proceed to open a FOIA request on your behalf (if we are eligible to continue to advocate for you) to see what went wrong and why that particular 2016's refund was given to him instead of you.

We wanted to mention, that although we are able to apply for your homeowners exemptions on your behalf, we have no control over whether the County Assessor grants that particular exemption and to whom. If you believe that 2016's refund is in error, it would help if you would take it up with the Cook County Assessors office as well to find out why your claim was denied (which we filed) and Mr. Sagir ***'s was accepted. Regardless, The TaxBloom Group will continue to look into your claim for the 2016 COE Homeowners exemption, and we will continue to notify you of our findings.

Best, Jason ***

Dear Ms.,

I am writing you regarding the complaint you filed at the Revdex.com. It is our goal to clarify what occurred and help by any means to correct the mistake made by the County.

We collected your information, filled out all the necessary documents and submitted the proper paperwork to the County in a timely manner. This included the new mailing address per your instructions. We have copies of everything submitted.

Our efforts resulted in three successful refunds for you (2014, 2015 and 2017). The misdirected payment to the new owner, for the 2016 refund, was completely out of our control and a surprise to us also. We did reach out to the County and were told to follow up after 8/5/19. We will follow up to help get your refund and to better learn how the County functions with the goal (In as much is within our power) of reducing these County errors.

We will continue to investigate your refund at no cost to you and do whatever we can to help the County correct their mistake to recover your refund. We will notify you immediately with any news we receive. You *** also call anytime.

Sincerely

The Tax Bloom Group
