Review: We booked a wedding rehearsal dinner and our plans changed. Notified the banquet hall 80 days before the scheduled date and was charged 90% of the total amount. Had I been able to cancel eleven (11) days earlier the fee would have been 45%. I realize the need to charge a fee to cover any expenses and anticipated income… but 90%? I paid $1,918.65. I was not offered a credit or a future date.Desired Settlement: I would accept half of the amount paid as a refund OR a CREDIT for the full amount to be used at a future date.

[redacted] signed a contract with specified cut-off timelines and cancellation fees based on that timeline. [redacted] was charged the 90% attrition fee in accordance with the cancellation policy and timeline contained in the contract that he signed. [redacted] is correct, that had he cancelled the event earlier, the cancellation fee would not have been as much, but he knew the terms of the contract at the time of signing. [redacted] has been charged in accordance with the cancellation policy in his contract.

Review: Dear Revdex.com. My name is [redacted] and I run a small travel agency ([redacted]) that places athletic teams into hotels across the county. The way I earn my income is that hotels agree to pay me a "Travel Agent Commission" for placing the team I am working with into their hotel. Typically the industry standard is 10%. I am having trouble collecting the commission due from the The Thayer Hotel in West Point, NY. I have a proposal from the hotel in an email indicating that the hotel was to pay commission on the booking ([redacted]). I have a complete trail of email exchanges between the hotel and I which quotes me a commissionable room rate for me placing the team at his hotel. I have the emails of me sending the hotel a "Definite Booking Document" (which is the document I use to set up the teams at the hotels), which indicates the rate is commissionable in 3 different places. I have an email from the hotel thanking me for the booking in which I request that the hotel issue a contract. The group has stayed at the hotel and paid their bill. The only thing that hasn't happened is the hotel paying me the commission due. They still own me the travel agent commission for this booking. Thank you in advance for your assistance.Desired Settlement: I would like the commission for this booking paid.
