Just because a persons vehicle is in the repair shop doesn't mean you can stop making your payments At this time American Automotive LLC is not moving forward with anything but the repossession until the bill is paid in full and the transmission will not be installed until a operational engine is purchased by *** and labor will still need to be paid for the engine installation As stated previously *** is days past her due payment

American Automotive sold [redacted] and [redacted] a 2006 Ford Fusion with a 180 day warranty starting as of 07/10/2014 which commenced by the time at the engine repairs were needed.  We were aware the vehicle needed a transmission but was still drive-able it slipped between 1 and 2...

minimally and the owner acknowledged she felt safe driving the vehicle in that condition.  In April [redacted] dropped off the vehicle to American Automotive due to her running the Ford Fusion out of engine oil, there was a loud rod knock.  At this time we decided it would be best to do the transmission as well since they're connected.  The engine and transmission were removed in late April and this time all power is disconnected from the vehicle which is why the window was left down because the vehicle was inside for approximately 2 weeks due to no availability of an engine and transmission for price and mileage that [redacted] and [redacted] were promised.   [redacted] hasn't made a payment since March in the amount of $200.00 and also missed a payment in February and was short on a few payments in November and December. [redacted] still has a remaining balance of $1124.73, a courtesy letter has been mailed giving until June 16, 2015 and a final repossession order will be sent certified.   [redacted] was given a 2003 Honda Hybrid which was a current for sale vehicle of ours priced at $5995.00.  On May 23, 2015 [redacted] dropped off the 2003 Honda Hybrid because she also ran this vehicle out of oil which we have now suffered at least $4000.00 loss.  Hey this is what happens when you try to help friends out!  They're never pleased and always the quickest the jab you.  Lesson learned.!

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] [redacted]  the owner was aware the car needed a new transmission during the 6 month warranty and agreed to fix it at a later date which was when the car was dropped off at the shop April 1st 2015. I have documentation that the late payments were ok'd by the co owner [redacted]. The car was to be paid off in full as of May 1st 2015. By then the vehicle had been at the shop for a month. I stated to the owner that I would pick up the vehicle and pay it off in full when the transmission was done. He then stated he was no longer willing to fix the transmission and it would be left in the trunk. This is also when I became aware that the car was stored outside with the window down for weeks. It was your mechanics negligence that the motor was taken out with the window rolled down. This causes damage to the interior of the vehicle as well as exterior to the paint because of duct tape left on in the hear. The vehicle is still in the businesses possession and hasn't been fixed. I will either not be paying the remainder of the balance and call it a loss or I want the transmission fixed, my vehicle back so I can get an estimate on the damage that was done while at your shop. The business can pay for the damages to the vehicle while in their possession and I will agree to pay the remainder of the balance still owed once the transmission work is done and the estimated damage is paid for by the business.
Regards,
