Kennedy BlvdSuite 1330Philadelphia, PA 19103 RE:  [redacted] Complaint        Kentucky Derby May 3 to 8, 2017    To Whom It May Concern: We are in receipt of the copy of the complaint you received from [redacted]concerning the trip she booked through THE Travel Authority, Inc. to Kentucky forthe Kentucky Derby.  The dates of the motor coach trip were May 3 to 8, 2017. The contentions made by [redacted] in the complaint letter she sentyou are inaccurate.  Horrendous weather conditions encountered during the trip probably playeda role in [redacted]’s apparent overall dissatisfaction.  Heavy rain occurred inthe region which impacted activities throughout the area.  Fortunately, theweather did cooperate and it was dry for the big race. [redacted] Travel is a well-known Motor Coach and Tour operator with whom weand many other companies selling travel cooperate.  In this instance, [redacted]provided the bus and enroute arrangements and a well known receptiveoperator, [redacted], provided the Kentucky portion of the trip. Only one feature advertised in the promotional literature sent to [redacted] was not provided or substituted for by a feature of equal or greatervalue.  That feature was to have been a stop enroute home at the AmericanExperience attraction in Oaks, PA.  A rebate of $20 (check # [redacted], 4/17/17)was sent to [redacted] to adjust for this feature being deleted from the trip.She received this payment prior to the trip’s departure. THE Travel Authority, Inc. has complied with the provisions in the agreement,covering the trip that was signed and submitted by [redacted]. We strive to establish and maintain excellent relationships with our clients. We don’t feel anything provided on the trip was substandard, in the interest ofcustomer relations, we offered a $25 future credit, with a cover letter indicatingthat we were disappointed that she was not pleased with some aspects of thetrip.  That offer still stands. It is our hope that the above explanation has been helpful in your evaluatingthe situation.  Feel free to call me if you need additional information.                                         ...⇄ Regards, Barry G[redacted]President , Inc.PO Box [redacted]Bensalem, PA  19020###-###-####   ###-###-####   Fax: ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:  I have attached the Derby Itinerary that was on the Travel Authority website when I put the deposit on this trip.  At no time was I informed that the itinerary changed and that the trip would be booked out to another company and thus given an option to cancel my trip with Travel Authority.  Please note that no where did I specify that the "horrendous weather" had ANYTHING to do with my complaint. Bottom line is that I paid for a service/tour that DID NOT HAPPEN as it was sold to me.  This is breach of contract.  I am not asking for a full refund, but the fact that I was offered a $25 discount for a future trip with a company that will certainly never use or recommend to others is an insult.
