Every new customer we cash out is told the exchange policy. We have a sign posted at the register, hanging directly behind the register as well as printed on the bottom of each customers receipt. Our return policy is no different than one at a store similar to ours, or even a chain store. We do not...

accept returns on worn merchandise. If an item leaves our store in good condition it is the customers responsibility to keep it that way. The policy is the same for apparel, shoes and accessories. The item in question; the Trinity sandal is an item we received on March 6th and have had no prior complaints on, five months later. If we feel like there is a quality issue with an item, we will gladly accept exchanges on that item. The customer was told that he could bring the item in and the associate would look at it and let him know what we decide to do with item. That is standard procedure for damages. He was never given a reason we would do anything above that. The customer also failed to mention that the shoes were on his daughter's feet when bringing them in to the store. We were also told they were worn once on Saturday but showed up with them on. Without the box, the shoes "tag" if you will, they were not returnable that day anyway. The employee states that she told the customer about the return policy and offered to fix the shoe. She said that she was able to push the pin back through and the customer left with a shoe in working order, something else he failed to mention in both the review and the complaint to the Revdex.com. When we get customer damages we always try to fix the item to keep our customers happy. The employees working that day did everything within policy. Below is a copy of our return policy, which is printed at the bottom of every customers receipt:-RETURN POLICY- NO REFUNDS NO CASH OR CREDIT BACK Exchange or In-store credit ONLY, within 14 days of purchase. tags attached, in original condition, unwashed, unworn and with your receipt. We do not accept exchanges without the original receipt. Below is a copy of the review that the customer in question did on our company's Facebook page. There are exaggerations between the two statements.  "[redacted]— 1 star
We are beyond upset with this local store. We ALWAYS like to shop local small business, being that we have a business establishment in town over 25 years! We took our daughter back to school shopping & bought several items, including a pair of white sandals. Today, she wore the sandals less than two hours & they broke. My husband called the store immediately to tell them what happened & they assured them they would "look" at them & to bring them in. They get there to be told that there is nothing they can do, they're broke. He questioned WHY tell him to come in & act as if they would take care of them, all we wanted was a simple exchange. They told him they **looked at the sandals[redacted] & both owners are gone & that's their policy, so no refund, no exchange. And, as a added bonus he gets have a pleasant day sir. Very condensing, very unprofessional. If you want a good reputation you take care of your customers ALWAYS. This young lady wasted my husbands time, his gas, & she knowingly was deceptive. We will never shop there again. Obviously, they don't stand behind the products they sale. That means as soon as you walk out that door, whatever you got in your bag , you're stuck with it. Very unprofessional & we are very aggravated & disappointed"
