In reference to Revdex.com Case #[redacted]The customer did indeed contact us on the 22 of June and on the 23rd we responded as you can see in the attached email " Dependent on what needs to be done component repair is possible."After trouble shooting and following diagnostic guide lines it was...

found the light engine needed to be replaced. The light engine is not an item that can be repaired by "board work "or component repair. We did verify with the manufacture , [redacted], who assured us that the DLP units have outlived their usefulness and they are no longer supported . We have moved on to LCD units and are no longer manufacturing parts for the DLP lines. I did try to explain this to the consumer to no avail. If it were possible to do any type of board work we would have been more than happy to do it.The customer was provided with the part number we require at her request and we have checked frequently with our distributors for availability of the part with no luck at this time. The customer had told us she found the part on [redacted] however the part the customer found was not the part number we needed nor would it have worked in her unit. We do not wish to keep her original TV to have her list the parts and for us to box and ship out nor do wish to list the parts for resale. We have offered to return her unit. That way she could list and sell the parts if she chose to.We have diligently researched for the customers part and we do not feel that a refund or credit is owed. We did our service call and diagnostics and only ask to be able to return her unit.

Customer was under manufacture warranty and has been taken care of already!

Review: On June 22nd, I contacted the TV shop about a repair that I needed. I indicated that I'd done some research and narrowed it down to two possible problems, both of which required boardwork. (Actual repair to the electronic boards.) They responded on June 23rd, with their price. After asking for confirmation that they did perform boardwork, I scheduled an appointment for June 25th. The technician came out and fumbled around with my tv for at least an hour. At that time, he removed a part and brought it back to the shop. It was determined after about a week or two that they would need the entire tv so they sent the technician out to pick up my tv. Finally, on July 29th, they sent me an email indicating the Light Engine was bad and the part was unavailable so they wanted to schedule delivery off my unrepaired tv.

At that time, I reminded them that I told them initially that it would need boardwork. In addition to them not being able to repair it, it took them a month to diagnose what took me (someone with no electronic backbround) an hour to do. I have a previous email to a parts distributor to support my diagnosis. The parts distributor let me know that part was unavailable, which is why I initially asked them about performing boardwork. I told them, I deserve a refund or repair. I reiterated that I would prefer a repaired tv and was not trying to be difficult. They told me they would continue to search for the part. Over the next couple of months, they would update me to tell me that they still had not found the part.

On September 23rd, I contacted them to offer another resolution. I was given another tv that needed repair. I suggested that they apply the money I paid them to the repair of this tv. I, also, offered that they could keep the original tv and sell off the parts. Additionally, I offered to list the parts on eBay if they would tell me what they are and pull them for me. They did not respond.

I contacted them again on December 14th about the second tv. They responded on December 15th to tell me that they still have not found the parts for the original tv, they have done the necessary diagnostics, and they are justified in keeping the payment.

I responded to tell them that I would be seeking further resolution.Desired Settlement: I offered either a refund or a service credit to be used on another tv. I would prefer a refund at this time because this has become such an ordeal there is a lack of trust between us but I would accept a settlement of a service credit.

Review: I went to The TV Shop on Black Friday to get a raincheck on a TV they had advertised. I put $160 down on my TV in agreement that I would pay the remaining (aprox $100) and have my TV by Dec 7. Not only has this business not held up to the agreement by providing the TV but they will not give me my money back. I feel as if I have had my money stolen. The owner will not call me and the associates will not give me his number. I have asked several times for them to have the owner call me and he has not done so.. he has only stated to them that he will no provide me with my money back. Today I had a personal issue come up where my car was stolen and so I needed this money to get it out of impound.. please keep in mind I am 7 months pregnant and the owner did not care. I still have no money or TV and I was lucky enough to have family help me get my car back.

Review: I went to there black Friday sale and was told all tvs were out of stock but that I could leave a deposit and pay the rest when the tvs became available. I told them that I would like to leave a 50 dollar deposit and was told tvs would be there by the following Saturday. When the csr put info into the computer and printed out a receipt it said that I paid 50 dollars and still owed 93 dollars when I picked up tv. But when he ran my card he charged me the whole 143 instead of just 50 dollars. Saturday came around and no tvs. I asked for a refund and was told they needed card info and that the owner would do the refund. so I gave it to them and have yet to receive my refund. It has been over a week and when I called I was told they needed my card info agin because it got lost.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

Cash refund of 143.00.

Review: I purchaced a TV from them on 5/20/13 it went bad less then 3 months later. I took the bad TV in to them on 8/12/13 to be fix, on 11/1/13 after many phone calls they replaced that TV with the same type & it cost me $130. 5 weeks later it went bad, they told me they would not exchange it, that it would have to be sent out and fixed. I kept it for a few more weeks before I had them send it out to be fix. That was 1/13/14, it's been 15 weeks and my TV has not been fix or replaced. The employes refuse to give me the owners phone number.Desired Settlement: I would just want my $430.00 back. I can buy a new TV for that much with a good warranty.

Review: On 9/11/2015 I purchased a 47 inch LG flat screen model number [redacted]. Two weeks after purchasing it I turned it on and there was no picture, only sound. I called them and he informed me that it sounded like the backlight had went out and because it was still under the warranty period I could bring it back and they would repair it and return it back to me within 2 weeks max. I was told I would be called when it was ready to be picked up. About a month passes and still no word so on 10/15 I called to see the status of my tv. He said it still was not ready but that he would call to find out about it and call me right back. Again I got no return phone call so I tried to be understanding and patiently waited. Finally after over a month with no word I called again on 12/7. He said he didnt know what had happened to my tv but that he was getting a new shipment in of 47 inch LG's in about a week and that he would call as soon as they came in. I said ok and asked if there was any way I could get it delivered due to the fact that I dont own a vehicle. He said they might be able to do that. Finally on 12/19 [redacted] called me and said my tv was ready to be picked up. At this point I just wanted my tv back so I just went and picked it up. Due to the holidays I wasnt able to pick it up until Dec 28 but when I got there and was shown the tv I was shocked and completely offended. After all this trouble the tv was in horrible physical shape and appeared to be much older than the tv I had orginally purchased. It was scratched up and just looked older and beat up. I then checked the model number on that tv and confirmed it was a cheaper model. I refused to take that tv and asked for my money back. He then made a phone call and I was told he could not give my money back but that he would be getting another shipment of tvs in the following monday (this was friday). On Mon I called, he said the shipment didnt come in. I tried calling the owner [redacted] and left a msg. Got no call back from him either.Desired Settlement: At this point I do not want another tv from them and would just like my money back. During that time period they had my tv I was forced to buy another one and although I still want a bigger tv I do not want to purchase it from them and think at the least I deserve to get my money back after all of this trouble. If you can please help me out it would be greatly appreciated as it is now 1/14/2016 and I still have heard no word from them. Thank you.

Review: This business is just unscrupulous. I found an ad on Craigslist for a 51" Samsung Plasma TV for $375. I though this was a good deal and figured it was refurbished which would account for the low price. I called The TV Shop and the woman who answered was helpful and scheduled a delivery for that coming Saturday. I also gave her my cell phone number and said if she needed to be in communication with me, it would be best through text. Saturday rolled around, and no word from The TV Shop. I texted the woman and she responded that their delivery driver was running late and if I waited until Monday to have the TV delivered, they would throw in a bottle of cleaner and a TV mount. Of course, I chose to postpone the delivery. SInce all of my roommate and I were at work, the TV had to be delivered to my roommates place of work. Oh, did I also mention I paid an additional $100 dollars to have the TV delivered? We got the TV home and it was full of little black squares burned into the TV, which made it difficult to watch. I texted the woman and sent her pictures of the screen and after a lot of back and forth she said to bring it back and they would exchange it. THIS IS WERE IT GETS THE MOST SHADY EVER! We drove all the way back to Stockton (about 60 miles from where I live in Oakland) to return this damaged TV. We got the The TV Shop and the woman was friendly and even offered to play a DVD to show us that the new TV was in working order. She put a DVD of Monster's Inc. We were very happy to finally get a working decent TV. When we got home, we plugged the TV in and noticed right away- THE DVD MENU FOR MONSTERS INC WAS BURNED IN THE SCREEN. No wonder that is the DVD she chose to play. We hadn't noticed it in the store. ALSO, we didn't notice that there was a small crack (we were extremely careful in shipping this TV home) in the screen. At first we didn't think there would be a huge problem with it, but the next day our TV did not work AT ALL. We did some research and the plasma had leaked out and made it impossible to ever watch again. It is our conclusion that this store only sell broken TVs to people at rock bottom prices, they offer 30 day warranties with every purchase but refuse to refund your money because they know at worst you will have an exhausting cycle of exchanging countless TVs, and they purposely gave us a WORSE and more badly damaged TV for complaining. This is a straight up scam. I have asked for my money back with no response and we are going to have to drive down to Stockton AGAIN to try to get our money back in person.Desired Settlement: We would like the full amount of the TV's cost refunded to us. We have already tried to exchange it and they gave us a WORSE TV in return.
