If you have $15,000 to gamble on the CHANCE of improved health, then UltraWellness is the place for you. The fees for the initial visit, including lab work, will likely cost between $6,000 and $7,000. Then there are charges for high-priced supplements, follow-up phone calls, and additional labs. I saved money for years to go to UltraWellness, having been a long-time follower of Dr. Hyman’s work, in the hope of relief from chronic pain. Some people get dramatic results. I did not, although I carefully followed all instructions. I ended up at least $10,000 poorer (It would have been more if I had not stopped after 5½ months) and in more pain than ever. But the worst part is the flawed communication system. If you do not have the $500 per hour charged for speaking with a physician by phone, you need to communicate concerns and questions with a patient care coordinator, who connects you to a nurse, which usually means getting her voice mail. Several days later, the nurse answers, frequently by email. If the instructions by email are not clear, you cannot reply because emails from patients are blocked. So you will need to start the process all over, and MAYBE you will get a clear answer to your question after one or more additional tries. It was frightening for me to be following a complicated protocol for heavy metal chelation without adequate support. I still believe in functional medicine, and continued my care with another physician who follows this approach, but not in the way that UltraWellness sells it.

Last year, on the advice of my doctor, I went to the Ultra Wellness Center My hour visit that day cost me $6,I spent another $1,on phone visits and supplementsAfter all my test results were in, I asked for a diagnosisI was told that there is no diagnosis in functional medicine I then realized that I had been takenIt was a very expensive lesson to learnAll I will say is "BUYER BEWARE" because at this place of business, you are a customer not a patient

Please, please do not make my mistakeI was a huge fan of Dr.***'s work, and trusted him entirelyI finally became a patient, only to find out that this is a scam on the sick and desperateIn the end I paid them over $15,I am more sick then when I startedI was carelessly prescribed supplements that negatively interacted with my current medications and caused serious harmI also paid thousands for these supplements, that I purchased from them, and ultimately had to be thrown awayI couldn't agree more with a previous review that they are "a loose assortment of pretty average family practice doctors that happen to have embraced what they call functional medicine" It has also been my experience that "They gather a lot of data, but don't really seem to know what to do with it"So many tests, soooo much money, no answersI found out more from my free ubiome test than from them Overall, horrible experience that I wish I could take backI gave them so many chances to rectify, no actions taken

I went to the Ultrawellness center and saw Dr. [redacted]. She sat me down and started to talk to me about an eye twitch that I don't have. She had one objective only and that was to sell me some magnesium pills to settle down an eye twitch I don't have. When I originally made the appointment it was for a stomach bacteria that I had been tested for and had positive results for that had also be faxed over to Dr [redacted], She insisted that I didn't have it and I should stop the eradication treatment immediately to take the magnesium pills. After I left I read over the things she wrote down about me. All she had to say was that I had an eye twitch (which I don't) and painful periods (which I don't). Seriously over 4 thousand dollars 4 hours of driving and an entire day at the drs office, for someone to push pills and tell me I have some conditions that I don't? This place is what I could call a scam. I reviewed them on Google and they took their google review down so no one could see it I suppose. I hope no one falls for the ultra wellness scam like I did.
