Review: I have been paying 2 companies that have the same exact name - I thought it was the same company - One is called The Union Labor Life Insurance Company on the invoice - it goes by Ullico and is in IA [redacted] the other is called The Union Labor Life Insurance Co - it is in LA, CA [redacted]Both companies have the same name different addresses - different invoice designs - both have been billing me for years for the same exact policies Ullico Policy # [redacted] for Whole Life since 2002 - 2011Ullico Policy# [redacted] for Hospital Indemnity since 2001- 2013at the same time I was sent bills from the LA Union Plus - which was originally called union secure since 2003 when it was union secure my acct#[redacted] for Accident Medical Indemnity then the co switched names to The Union Labor Life Insurance in LA - and my policy numbers have changed a lot Union Labor # [redacted] 11/07 -11/02/10 - I have all paper work and all copies cashed checks for AD & D and #[redacted] to Union secure 04/05- 07/12 and also paying to The Union Secure [redacted] til 01/15 for AD &D policy # [redacted] and then the policy switched to the Union Plus Insurance Program # [redacted] for Aciidental Death and Dismember (I think - I am so confused because I was being billed for the same coverage for the exact policies from the LA co so I have 4 policies they are billing me for - and for the same exact policies the ULLICO co is charging me for 2 policies and also why I found all this out is because the LA Union Labor Life Insurance Co has billed me 2x for the same premium for the same time period quite a few times- which is why I originally called them in July and again in Nov. And so I am going to cancel 4 policies both companies w the same name The Union Labor Life Insurance Co in LA and also ULLICO - Union Labor Life Insurance Company in IA have been getting paid from me for the same exact policies this is problem 1. Problem 2 LA company billed me 2 x for the same bill

I have also been billed from and paying The Union Plus Insurance Company P.O.Box 9159 Phoenix Arizona 85068-9159 for policy # [redacted] so that is another co getting paid beside the La The Union Labor Life Insurance Co for the same policy as well - this is ridiculous - I need to be refunded please asapThe other major problem is the LA Union Labor Life Insurance Co #Whole Life Policy is supposed to be getting cancelled and refunded from the co.? # [redacted]

We are in receipt of your communication with our office regarding complaint #[redacted]. As requested, we have not included information within this response that personally identifies the complainant, as we understand this complaint response may be publically posted on the Revdex.com website.

The complainant expressed concerns about apparent duplicate payments on multiple policies with the Company. We have confirmed that the complainant was, until very recently, covered by group certificates issued under two group policies, a Whole Life policy (certificate #[redacted]) and a Hospital Indemnity policy (certificate #[redacted]). These policies are issued by the Company and administered by [redacted] Systems, LLC, a third-party administrator (TPA) in [redacted], Iowa.

It appears that the complainant may also have coverage under multiple policies that were originally issued by the Company but were later purchased by The [redacted] Financial Services Group, Inc (The [redacted]). We regret that the Company cannot provide any further information about those policies, as we no longer own or administer them. The block of business that includes those policies is currently administered by [redacted] Insurance Services on behalf of The [redacted]. Therefore, we have forwarded a copy of this complaint to the following contact for review and response with respect to the policies they administer:

On November 30,2013, the complainant requested cancellation of her Whole Life and HIP certificates with the Company. In accordance with the request, these certificates have been cancelled. We subsequently contacted the complainant on December 18,2013 in response to this complaint. In that call, we explained the current administration of the policies and reviewed the payment history of the Whole Life and I4IP policies that are with the Company. We confirmed that premium received for these two policies had been billed correctly and that no duplicate premium payments had been received for these policies, The complainant indicated she was most appreciative of the telephone call and the clarification. She had no further questions relating to these policies at this time.

We believe the complainant’s inquiry and question as it relates to the Company’s policies and premium collection have been fully addressed.
