I am going to have someone reach out to him to discuss the credit reporting and his other concerns In the meantime, I can speak to the fact that the Company has credit reporting language on its bills, arrangment letters, and the annual "Your Rights" that get sent to every customerThis language does state that any balance that is outstanding greater than days may be reported to the credit agencies and such reporting could harm their credit rating (including payment arrangements) While the credit reporting can be updated to reflect the current state of his accounts, I can not gaurentee that valid past negative reporting will be changed Thanks, [redacted]

I am sending you an email with an update/resolutionI did not have the option to add to my response on the Revdex.com website.A manager and myself investigated the matter and the manager upon resolution, contacted [redacted] .The issue stemmed from having both on- bill financing and budget billing on the account at the same timeWe believe that having the loan and the budget concurrently may somehow prevented him from getting his bills for several monthsThe Billing department is aware of this situationMeanwhile, [redacted] is being given a $credit for the inconvenience as well as having the loan removed from his UI electric bill Going forward he will only see his electric charges on his UI bill [redacted] who services his residential loan, will send him a separate statement.He should also just see charges for his electric bill on the UI website once this is completedHe was pleased with the resolutionThanks,Alison Alison D*** MSM MBACompliance Specialist –Business Services [redacted] ***

Good morning, I have looked into thisand verified that the balance of $is legitimate On 10/23/ a payment of $was made which cleared the balance to zeroHowever no other payments were made to this account up to the move out date; [redacted] moved out on 4/4/J have attached a copy of the final bill which show the balance owed Hope this helped Regards, Alison

The Company understands the concerns raised by customer and thoroughly reviewed the matter The following are our findings and resolution:On May 18, 2016, customer contacted the Company and spoke with a Customer Care Center Representative regarding account in question being reported to the credit bureaus Customer also informed the representative that she filed for bankruptcy in Our Customer Care Center Representative explained that the Company did not receive notifcation nor was aware of the bankruptcy Customer was going to check further and call back On September 13, 2016, customer contacted the Company and advised that she will fax the bankruptcy documentation.On October 28, 2016, customer called back to check the status of her account & informed the Company that she mailed (not faxed) the documentation to a PO BOX found in our web The Customer Care Center Representative was unable to confirm receipt of the documentation and referred the matter to our Collections Bankruptcy Administrator whom searched an external on-line web access service and was able to confirm the bankruptcy On October 28, 2016, the bankruptcy was processed and the amount of $1,was written off Account balance is zero On October 31, 2016, all three credit bureaus were updated to reflect the new status of account Please be advised that the credit bureaus may take 30-days to update their records Should customer have any questions and/or further issues of concern regarding this matter, we encourage to please contact the Company at ###-###-#### Thank you

Unfortunately, if an account balance is greater than days it does get reported to the credit bureaus (CB)Payment arrangements and or hardship do not preclude this from occurring If there are arrears that are over the day threshold they are reported to the CB's Our credit reporting (CB) practices are on the monthly statements and the payment arrangement letters Thanks

The following is a listing of invoice amounts and corresponding billing periods, along with payments made:>10-21-invoice for billing period 9-18-through 10-19-$new charges due 11-18-This invoice was due 11-18-15; $payment posted to the account on 11-20-15) 11-19-invoice for billing period 10-20-through 11-17-$due 12-17-(past due + new charges + late payment charge = $209.94) 12-21-invoice for billing period 11-18-through 12-17-$due 1-19-(past due + new charges + late payment charge = $214.67)This invoice was due 1-19-15; $payment posted to the account on 1-21-16) 1-20-invoice for billing period 12-18-through 1-18- $due 2-17-(past due + new charges + late payment charge = $343.95) 2-18-invoice for billing period 1-19-through 2-16- $due 3-17-(past due + new charges + late payment charge + $251.42) The customer’s payments did not post to the account by the due date on the invoice; therefore, being carried over into the next month’s invoiceIt is important to note that payments sent via U.SMail should allow business days to post to the account and payments via phone or at a UI local authorized payment location take two business days to post to the account The customer spoke with the Company on 1-23-and the balance owed at that time was $(from the 1-20-invoice $new charges + late payment charge)A new invoice later generated on 2-18- The total balance due as of this date, 2-24-16, is $ with a due date of 3-17-

After careful review of the matter, the Company Review Officer ascertained that the amount in question of $should be credited to customer's account The matter was satisfactorily resolved with customer on 8/6/ The Company apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused our valued customer It is our goal and committment to continue to provide quality customer service to all our customers

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Here was my response sent to individual after email It is important to note that UI does not inform customers before setting up payment arrangement that they are reported deliquent proir to April Therefore relying on the fine print on the bottom of a bill that never says those with payment arrangements who are paying the past bill and current bills will have their credit destroyed before they changed their policy.All that information was already discussed between us the other dayWhat I am asking your company to do is remove themselves from my credit report for all credit bureausObviously United Illuminating changed its policies in April of because reporting delinquencies when people are on a payment arrangement is unreasonable.It is also unreasonable that UI reported me days deliquent in January when I was notMy payment arrangement was over and I missed a current paymentI was not days late I was and payed the entire amount owed that month.When I speak with representatives who think days is months rather then six I see my credit is in the hands of those who lack simple mathematical skills and hide behind the small print on bills rather than admit a mistake and correct it which is fully in your power to do.The fact is UI policies prior to April of and January has caused damages to my credit and futureIts not that reporting cant be changed your credit department is refusing to do soEven though you had stated you would try to help meI have gotten denied credit and preapproval for a mortgage because of UI and UI aloneNothing else on my credit report is negative but UII will have to speak with an attorney regarding thisAs well as the Consumer Financial Protection BureauThis is me and my family's future that is being messed with at this point and the damage will remain for years!! Thats years I cannot afford nor can my familyThis isnt going to go away and I will pursue this as far as I need to[redacted] Sincerely, Shanell Leidecker
