I am rejecting this response because:His
original shipment was not packed to UPS standards. He was informed of
this at the time of original shipment and warned that in case of damage
it could result in any claim being denied.This is an absolute lie.  There is absolutely no inspection done, they ask the contents of the package and if it is dangerous, how fast you want it to get there and that is all.  If the above claim is going to be made there needs to be a complete restructure of how the store handles outgoing packages form customer.  Only when there was a problem did a conversation take place, worded in a truly insulting manner, about packing.  To infer that a customer has just packed something poorly on purpose or is just not intelligent enough to try and protect their item is terrible.Given that the shipment
was returned in its original packaging, which was already damaged and
wanting to begin with, our best guess is that the package continued to
deteriorate and the item fell out. Mr. [redacted] was also informed of
this.Another absolute lie.  Of all the times I visited the store I was assure that they had my information and that would be contacting me with some type of information but that never happened.   UPS does take 8 business days to thoroughly search for any lost package.
So, due diligence was given to finding Mr. [redacted]'s package. I
feel there was ZERO diligence in the UPS Store attempting to get the
UPS shipper to locate the package.  The rep showed zero urgency in helping to get the item back basically relating that 'well its coming back and not being paid for so its going to be slow'.    If the UPS shipper didn't refuse to
communicate with me because I was not technically the shipper, I feel I
could have actually pushed them to do something to get the package
found.  I am out an expensive piece of equipment and I've refunded my
customer since its the right thing to do so I am out the money he paid. 
So now I am empty handed and this business just says I should accept
it.  This is not right at all.  At
the very least I was due my property back, broken or not, and the UPS
store did not make enough of an effort for that to happen.

April 1, 2015 Regarding ID[redacted]   To whom it may concern; In reference to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, we have several responses to his account. His original shipment was not packed to UPS standards. He was informed of this at the time of original shipment and warned...

that in case of damage it could result in any claim being denied. Sadly, his package was damaged in shipment. UPS inspected the package and found the packing to meet none of their requirements. Mr. [redacted] was informed of this decision. UPS did attempt to return the package. It, however and unfortunately, was lost in the return shipping. Given that the shipment was returned in its original packaging, which was already damaged and wanting to begin with, our best guess is that the package continued to deteriorate and the item fell out. Mr. [redacted] was also informed of this. A the original claim was denied due to improper packing and is the most likely reason for loss. unfortunately there is no claim for the loss either. I understand that Mr. [redacted] does not like the response and we are sympathetic, but unfortunately the item has been declared lost by UPS and we have no further avenues to explore for Mr. [redacted]. UPS does take 8 business days to thoroughly search for any lost package. So, due diligence was given to finding Mr. [redacted]'s package. Unfortunately, it did not have an outcome that pleased him.  The UPS Store 3620
