Review: The UPS store #4362 aka #3928 picked up an item that I had won at an auction in November of 2013, they picked, packed and shipped the item ( a vintage star wars figure in original packaging) to me however the box they used was too small for the item in question so the folded the item in order to fit it in the box thus creasing the item. They charged $40 for this service and at the very least they could have chosen a larger box. It has been 3 months of phone calls to the local store as well as corporate and they feel that they can only refund $100 because the local UPS store lied on their paperwork and stated that I packaged the item myself rather then the UPS store. If I flew out to California from Connecticut to pack the item myself it is news to me. The Local UPS store has constantly changed their store about why they cannot issue a full refund and it was only when I called corporate that I found out the reason was because they lied on the paperwork and while corporate says the refund has been issued the local store still says that they have not.Desired Settlement: At this point I expect a refund for the full purchase price plus packing and shipping costs. If the item was packed and shipped properly in the 1st place I wouldn't be writing this. They damaged the item to fit it in a box that was too small, lied about who packaged it on the paperwork thus limiting compensation and have utterly failed to respond to corporate when they approved part of the claim ($100 worth). I expect a refund of $40 for shipping and $132.60 for the item for a total of $172.60.

My name is [redacted] (Manager of the store).

Let me explain the whole situation. We have contact with Bar None Auction

company in Sacramento who does online auction. They gave our info for pick, pack

& ship. In the month of Dec we picked so many pkges for different customers.

He was one of them. The $40.00 was including picking, packing and shipping

charges. We offered insurance to all customers but he refused to purchase the

insurance. I still have his invoice that he bought for $140.00 (Bar None gives

that invoice also when we pick their pkgs). He told me that he resells this item

for more money. These are antique star war figure approx., over 25 years old.

What one can accept from that old cardboard. If you see only cardboard was bent

which we picked from there like this. Also it was already in a box when we

picked from there. Basically for this cust we charged only for picking and

shipping. We already mailed him check what UPS got for. Let me know what else

you need me to do.
