I prepaid for a procedure that was later determined unnecessary. I've been trying for five months to get a refund for a service that I did not receive or that was not required.

The patient had surgery scheduled for March 2020 and prepaid $176.11 towards that surgical procedure. Due to COVID-19, the Tennessee Governor cancelled all elective cases so his surgery was rescheduled for May 19, 2020. On May 13th, he asked to postpone his surgery since his lab work had improved. Per Dr. his surgery was then scheduled for September 19, 2020. At some point, during all the changes in surgery dates, he requested a refund that was submitted to me on July 10, 2020. I contacted him by phone on August 12, 2020, apologized for the delay in the refund and advised him that his refund check was cut on August 11, 2020 and would be signed and mailed on August 13, 2020.
