The Used Car Connection

I purchased a car from [redacted] is January. I was told that the [redacted] had 122000 original miles on the car. That was a lieI purchased a [redacted] in January 2015. [redacted] told me the car was a diamond in the rough that it had 122000 original miles on it and that it had come from a military person in NY that kept the car in storage for years and did not drive it because he was stationed overseas. I paid him $2300 cash for the car. I have had several problems with the car starting with the car not going in and out of gear. I took the car back to [redacted] and he kept it for 3 days working on it. It had a scrubbing noise coming from the brakes checked brake pads but they were good. Replaced spark plugs and had the car tuned up. Things seemed to be fine but they still made a scrubbing noise from the brakes occasionaly. On june 3 the scrubbing noise became much worse while I was visiting in Fayetteville NC. I put the car into the shop to have the brakes looked at again. The pads on the front left were completely gone. Had new pads and calipers put on the car. As we were testing the brakes on the car the front left brakes caught fire. The mechanic found some oddities while he was inspecting the brake system. the ABS control light had been disabled. Now the car needs new ABS module, Master cyclinder, rotors and a complete brake job. the mechanic also told me that the manifold is cracked in the back and the car is smoking. I began to do some research and found the cars odometer has been rolled back at least once this is listed on the vehicle history report. The car was sold in 2005 by the original owner with 159,995 miles on it. the car also failed inspections several times. I have contacted [redacted] on a few occasions to try to come up with some type of resolution to this problem. I would never had bought the car had I known that the miles were not correct. the check engine light does not come on either. My "diamond in the rough" has turned out to be a piece of coal. I have been without a vehicle for almost a month and this is my only transportation. Desired SettlementI would like for [redacted] to arrange to pick the car up in Fayetteville NC and I would like a full refund of my money. I would never have made this purchase had Mr [redacted] been honest with me in the beginning
