*** *** Where is the proof of them trying to replace my carpet scrubber? Evidently they closed this all out the day I took it in I do not see a date of such closed accountI do not see proof of their involvement of getting my scrubber fixedThey did not help me get my scrubber replacedIt wasn't until I filed claim on a business that I should not had which was hoover that it was replaced within days of my contact with Hoover that I received the scrubberTherefore, if they were in contact with Hoover as they say they were to get me the replacement scrubber than I would have had it by now and would not be filing claim against The Shop VacI just wish that they would conduct business as they should and be nicer to their customers as she did not with me especially yesterday April 7th,when she called and rant and raved and asked me to recant my complaint against themLiterally yelled at me like I was some kind of childAlso calling Hoover and some other vacs junk because they were made in ChinaThis business I feel should change in many ways in the dealings with their customers and I also feel that the lady should go through management classes to be better able to deal with customers and not treat them like their childYou can contact Hoover and get the information from them as to whether they contacted them about this scrubber and get any information about it

My first call was to a [redacted], manager of the [redacted] whom purchased a Sebo G1 for $480 with a $110 discount. The Revdex.com id # is [redacted] for this case.  After reading the complaint, I looked up the transaction on our computer and call the [redacted].  I spoke with [redacted] at the [redacted] ###-###-#### and she gave me [redacted]'s home number.  When I called him he told me that everything was worked out and he hung up on me.  I called the [redacted] back to get more information from [redacted].  She proceeded to tell me that [redacted] was a very angry person and she would have the President call me back.  I spoke with [redacted], President of the [redacted] [redacted] this morning.  I offered to return the vacuum and [redacted] said that they are keeping the vacuum is working wonderful.  He also said that he will ask [redacted] to rescind his complaint against the Vac Shop.
It is very disturbing to be that our customers were not provided the proper answers to their questions  or concerns and we will monitor our staff more closely in the future.

Dear [redacted]
I received your complaint from [redacted] today.  In my research I found that...

[redacted] brought her Hoover Scrubber into our store in Washington, Pennsylvania on January 30th.  Our claim was made to TTI the company that owns Hoover, Dirt Devil, Royal and Oreck on the same day January 30th 2015.
The Vac Shop is at the mercy of the warranty claims department of whatever brand is being repaired.  We filed her claim in a timely manner and followed up with TTI on a regular basis.  We had no information to give the customer so she was not called.  No one lied to Mrs. [redacted] about her scrubber or about what was going on with it.
Attached is the documentation you requested to show we did in fact file the claim with TTI (Hoover).  The document that show the day that Mrs. [redacted] brought in her Scrubber will be sent in the next email.
Thank you,

Review: The church's vacuum cleaner was taken in to be fixed the week of 13 April. We were told parts needed to be ordered. Every time I have called or stopped in since then, I can not get a straight answer. They will check on it and get back to me, I am still waiting for them to get back.Desired Settlement: I would like the vacuum fixed in a timely manner, or told why it can not be.

Review: I took my Dyson handheld vacuum in to be fixed. I was called and told it was the motor but they could not get a motor. They had searched the Dyson website and apparently they do not have motors for this particular vacuum.I told them I might have the booklet but they said they had searched on the Dyson website. The next day I found the booklet because I was going to throw it out, but I looked at it first and found what looked like the part that would have the motor in it. I called them and told them that and they said it was just the plastic casing for the motor. I decided to call Dyson myself and was told that the motor is part of that plastic casing, which I thought was probably the case since it was $63.99. I called the Vac Shop back and told them this, and asked if my vacuum was still there. They called me back and said they had put it in the trash. This was less than 24 hours after they told me they could not get a motor for it. I was very disappointed because a new vacuum if $199.99. I don't understand why they said they could not get a motor for it. I am very computer illiterate and yet I found the part for it.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my old Dyson that I took in back. It looks like an easy fix that anyone with mechanical ability could mend. I know that is not possible but I think that a business should have to hold on to the merchandise for more than a day. They never even asked if I wanted it back. Were they going to fix it and sell it?

I am writing in response to your recent letters to The Vac Shop Inc, located at [redacted] Our address to our main store was wrong on your original correspondence. First I would like to point out that my husband I only recently became aware of this situation and I immediately called my customer to rectify the situation with my customers. currently have a call into customer [redacted] Revdex.com id # [redacted] regarding a Dyson DC16 hand held vacuum cleaner. She has yet to respond to my phone call. Ms. [redacted] brought in a vacuum cleaner that parts are no longer available for and have not been available for over 1 year. When my employee [redacted] told her that the part was not longer available she instructed him to throw out her vacuum cleaner. Having a very small store with not much room for storage, he obliged. I verified that the part was no longer available with the acting General Manager of [redacted] ###-###-#### while the General Manager [redacted] is in training for the next 3 weeks. [redacted]'s email is [redacted] if you would prefer to talk to the General Manager. With the changing market, our business requires that we be on top of all brands and parts. My employee's have access to all authorized dyson parts. If Ms [redacted] has found a used motor on Craigs list or ebay, I can not or will not risk my relationship with Dyson to install substandard parts. Again, my employee acted on the customers request to throw out her vacuum. It is very disturbing to be that our customers were not provided the proper answers to their questions or concerns and we will monitor our staff more closely in the future.

Review: purchased a SEBO UPRIGHT SWEEPER ON 10/22/14 FOR THE [redacted] WHICH I AM THE MGR. TRIED TO RETURN THE SWEEPER THE VERY NEXT DAY. I WAS TOLD BY THE EMPLOYEE THAT SINCE I PAID CASH FOR THE SWEEPER, THEY HAD NO MONEY TO REFUNDTHE $532.12 THAT I PAID THEM. I ASKED FOR A CHECK, AGAIN I WAS TOLD THEY WERE NOT PERMITTED TO WRITE CHECKS. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE OWNERS NAME OR PHONE NUMBER, STATING THAT HE COMES AROUND ABOUT ONCE A MONTHDesired Settlement: OUR SWEEPER WOULD NOT RUN, SO WE THOUGHT IT WAS BROKEN. WE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT OUTLETS. AFTER I PURCHASED THE SWEEPER FROM THE VAC SHOP, WE DISCOVERED THAT AN ELECTRICAL BREAKER WAS THROWN AND WE DID NOT NEED THE NEW SWEEPER AFTER ALL. SINCE 10/22 I HAVE VISITED OR PHONED THE VAC SHOP 5 TIMES, THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE SPOKEN TO THE OWNER AND HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME.T HIS HAS NOT HAPPENED.

Review: January 30, 2015 took my rug scrubber Model# [redacted] to this shop for repair which was recommended by Hoover. We called numerous times checking on it and they kept telling us that they had put new parts on it and that it still leaked like it did when I took it to them. They said they were waiting on Hoover to send them a replacement for us and now it was the end of march and I filed a claim on Hoover which that was whom I thought was at fault and found out otherwise that it was not their fault but I did get my issue resolved with my carpet scrubber. This issue is against the Vac Shop for lying to me and saying they tried to fix it which they did not attempt to according to Hoover. So this issue is that they are not a very good business when they would not even call me or my husband to let us know anything about this carpet scrubber. We always had to call about it and they could never give us a straight answer about my scrubber.Desired Settlement: I just want other consumers to know how this business works. My opinion they should not have a business license. They should think about the concerns that customers have in getting their vacs fixed.
