The Valley Athletic Club provides hold options for membership accounts once written notification has been received As indicated in the complaint the account was paid 10/30/which brought the account current through the month of OctoberWe do not have any written verification regarding this membership wishing to be placed on a hold and this complaint is the first documented issue we have received regarding this account Once a membership account goes days past due it is placed on a hold status in which no further membership dues are billed At this point the member is contacted via written letter stating their account has been placed on a hold due to non-payment We also include in this correspondence the amount due to bring the account current as well as options for contacting us and setting up a payment planPrior to sending an account to full collections we also reach out to members with a phone call and an additional letter days after the first letter has been sent if we have not received any correspondenceThe second and third attempt at contacting the member also indicates an outstanding balance is still owing and offers payment plan options to avoid the collection process beginning Unfortunately we do not have record of the email or phone call referred to in the complaint and neither us nor the collection agency have any further communication from the member at any point along the collection process It is our protocol to work with members on their accounts when brought to our attention Jody H***General ManagerThe Valley Athletic Club

I am rejecting this response because: I have given my communications and cancellation notice to the Valley Athletic Club on multiple occasions and hey claim to not have received itThis response almost 1/years later is a perfect example of their lack of communications and structure within their company.

this membership wishing to be placed on a hold and this complaint is the first documented issue we have received regarding this account.   Once a membership account goes 60 days past due it is placed on a hold status in which no further membership dues are billed.  At this point the member is contacted via written letter stating their account has been placed on a hold due to non-payment.  We also include in this correspondence the amount due to bring the account current as well as options for contacting us and setting up a payment plan. Prior to sending an account to full collections we also reach out to members with a phone call and an additional letter 30 days after the first letter has been sent if we have not received any correspondence.
